Summer Moonlight
You Have a Destiny
I sighed and walked in Camp Half-Blood... again.
My CHB shirt torn and tattered and burnt at edges, I sighed at the scent of home.
I saw Chiron trotting up to her, and waved a hi.
"Summer." He greeted. "We must meet at the Big House, tomorrow."
I stopped a groan from coming out. "Why?"
Chiron's eyes turned dark with worry. "I doubt you'd seen it yet." He said.
A cold feeling washed over me.
"The war." I said, my voice quivering slightly.
Chiron nodded grimly. "Yes, the war against... The earth goddess."
I had a feeling he was trying to avoid talking about Gaea.
"The Seven is...?" I wondered out loud.
Chiron nodded, about to answer my question. "They are at Camp Jupiter. We have our own battle here to attend."
I took one look at the sky and panicked.
What if I couldn't tell them? If I couldn't, would this war end all because of me?
I looked away, gathering my thoughts for a moment. Then I turned back to Chiron.
"There's something urgent I need to tell them." I told Chiron.
Chiron shook his head. "Summer--"
I interrupted him. "It's important! Or the..." I didn't say.
Chiron's eyes didn't meet mine. "My child, beware your choices. Just remember this."
He handed me a folded piece of paper. I shoved it in my pocket.
I glared at the sky because I didn't want to glare at Chiron, and turned away.
Walking to my cabin, I turned the lights off and lied there on my bed, thinking.
I took out the now crumpled piece of paper from my pocket and unfolded it.
It read:
