Summer Moonlight
Underwater Trap
I sneaked away that night.
Packing my bag with ambrosia, a canteen half full of nectar, and an extra Camp Half-Blood shirt, I opened my cabin door to leave outside.
Hiding behind a tree, I sneaked past the harpies who were smelling demigod.
I turned around to see face to face with an angry god of wine.
"Going somewhere?" He asked.
"Dionysus." I said. "Will you kindly please let me go because--"
"Quiet, Serena." He snapped. "No one goes out of camp without my permission. That Johnson kid went out, too."
Serena? I thought. Well, that was new.
Dark green vines started wrapping my ankles, pulling me in place.
The vines stopped growing when Mr. D sighed.
"Oh, well, if you have to go save your friends, blah, blah, blah..." He snapped his fingers and the vines disappeared.
I ran out the borders before Dionysus could change his mind.
