Unbreakable

Torture

Leo's POV

I could slowly feel my soul being wretched out of me, the cries of the broken haunting my mind. Their screams would echo through my head, an endless abyss of misery. The moment Nyx threw Percy into our cell, we crowded him with worried faces. He had many knife wounds that were bleeding, but his temple was the worst. Blood seeped from a hole, running down the side of his face. Jason ripped off part of his shirt and wrapped it around Percy's head, trying to stop the bleeding.

"Back up, give me some room." He muttered, watching as the make-shift bandage began to bleed through.

I crawled back to my usual spot against the wall, fiddling with a wire that I had found a while before. It was a thin, ivory wire, and yet it meant the world to me. It was a glimmer of hope through this world of pain, the only thing I could touch that didn't hurt. I twisted it anxiously, watching Jason work. He wrapped another bandage around, his shirt hanging on by threads. My shirt had been removed a few days ago, or was it weeks? Time is hard here.

Frank was was slumped in the corner, his big hands covering his eyes. They barley hurt him. He had only a few scars, but not as many as the rest of us. I geuss its because he is so mild, and weak, and they don't want him to die. He cried a lot, but now a days, he sorta just looked at the walls with glazed over eyes. I didn't blame him.

Nico took the worst of it. His whole body was covered in scars and bruises. Dried blood was his knee skin tone, and wild, crazy eyes replaced his old, meek ones. He was extremely thin, you could see his ribs and everything, and yet he was the quietest. He barley spoke, just endured the torture silently. He worried me a lot, in case he goes physco or dies.

Jason was our leader. He took care of everyone, despite his own pains. He spoke a lot, and comforted everyone with stories from New Rome. He kept our spirits alive, no matter what. He was hurt badly however. His skin was charred and burned everywhere. His hands shook when he helped someone with their wounds. His shirt hung onto his body, covering his thin state. But, whenever he looked into your eyes, you could look at kindness and compassion. I find myself staring into his eyes more then I Hanoi,d sometimes. He was the backbone of the group.

Percy. He was a whole different story. They would have private "sessions" with him, and when he came back, he was another step closer to insanity. His hair stook up at odd angles, grease and blood making it look wild. His face was covered in dust most of the time, but I could still make out those sea green eyes. His eyes gave away a sense of defeat and loss, beyond compare. His frame was always bent, he couldn't walk straight, he always had a strange limp to his walk. He won the award for the most scars however. His whole body had scars, overlapping and bleeding heavily. He still talked, always trying to lighten the mood, but never succeeding. His voice had a strange sound to it, the sound of a broken soul. It came out weak, and queit, his eyes never meeting ours. When I looked at him, I couldn't see the old Percy, I could only see a broken shell of defeat.

The door clanged open, and Nyx stood there. She was our main torturer, enjoying it too much. She smiled when she saw Percy huddled against Jason. Her eyes landed on me, and she stared me down,

"Your wanted for questioning."

I stood, knowing better then to just sit there. I walked over to her, my legs feeling like the might snap at any moment. She gripped my bony arm and led me out into the hall, and I stared into Jason's eyes one last time. Seeing his caring, blue eyes sent hope into me, and I followed Nyx, matching her pace.

The goddess banged open a door, and seated me in a seat, chaining me to the chair. She then left the room hurriedly. The room was an old, cement room, with a table separating me from another chair. Torches lit the walls, and gave everything a creepy, dark tone. Across from me, sat Gaea, in human form. She was tall, and wore a light green dress with flowers on them. Her hair was pulled back in a bun, and a sun hat pulled over her head. She seemed so nice, except for the fact that blood was spattered across her dress, like a physco killer.

"I will ask you questions, and you shall answer them, correctly. If not... I have ways of making you talk..." Her voice was chilled, and sent coldness sweeping down my spine. I nodded, careful not to look away.

"Good, first one, where is Camp Half Blood located?" She asked. I stayed silent, and she scowled, "Valdez..."

"It's located in Dallas, Texas." I said, lying. She narrowed her eyes, "Oh? Hmm. I cannot trust you... Carmen?"

A ghostly figure appeared, and I recognized it as an Eldion. She nodded and it flew toward me, taking over my soul. I fought a raging battle for my sanity, but it took over quickly. Gaea gave a creepy smile,

"Now, I will ask again, where is Camp Half-Blood located?"

I tried fighting, but my mouth opened instantly, "Long Island Sound, New York."

I felt like screaming as the Eldion gave away all of Camp Half-Blood's secrets. Finally, she stopped, and gave a scary grin,

"Leo, tell me, what is the most important thing to you, that you couldn't live without?"

The Eldion hesitated, searching my inner most thoughts, then blurted out the answer, "Calypso."

Gaea laughed, sending chills up my spine, "Wonderul! Now, Carmen, let him go... I need to teach him a lesson."

The Eldion released me, and I gasped, watching as she walked towards me. She held two daggers, each one a bright silver.

"When I ask you a question, you answer, alright?" She says, and stands in front of me. She lines the daggers up with my face, and I gulp. She smiles, "How I'll miss your beatiful eyes." She then forced the blades to penatrate my eyes, ripping apart my eye sockets.

I screamed.
