Forced to Love
Chapter 12
Percy
The day started like any normal one. In fact, I didn’t even realize that Eliza wasn’t there until Nico came.
Eliza was normally quiet in the morning. She was actually quiet just about any time she wasn’t leading Camp or a quest. Off topic. When Nico came, though, and I went to get Eliza, She didn’t respond to me knocking. I cautiously opened the door to check on her. She was nowhere in sight. I searched her room. Not there. I searched the entire cabin. Eliza was nowhere to be found.
I couldn’t help but panic. I shook Coral awake, who was still asleep. “Coral, Eliza’s no where to be found.”
She sat up, rubbing her eyes. “Maybe she’s with Nico.” She asked drowsy.
I shook my head. “Nico is outside.” Her eyes went wide, and she followed me to the front where Nico was standing.
“Nico, she’s no where to be found.” I said panicking. Nico nervously twisted his skull ring, his hair floppy, as if he had slept on it weird.
“We shouldn't worry, Eliza can take care of herself.”
I sighed. “Your right.”
Nico had said not to worry, but he looked more nervous than me. He nodded in agreement, and then melted into darkness.
It was still early, so the sun was barely up. I had a really bad feeling on what was happening. I decided to keep investigating. Now that I was Awake, I couldn’t go back to sleep. Coral put her hand on my shoulder as I entered Eliza’s room.
I scanned the room searching for clues as to where Eliza was. Coral moved from behind me toward the bed. She picked up a piece of paper that had been lying on the bed.
Her eyes skimmed it reading. She gasped, then tears filled her eyes. She handed the note to me trying not to choke on her tears.
I read it. Fear overtook my senses filling me with adrenaline. With one glance, Coral and I took off toward the Hades cabin.
Nico answered the door. I grabbed his wrist and took off, dragging him behind me as we made our way to Bunker 9.
