Emma P.O.V.

"Don't you just love it when you're taken hostage by a Dalek armada?" Deborah deadpans.

"You- will- stay- silent," our Dalek escort says.

"What are you gonna do about it? Electrocute us? Because, let's face it. You need us to get the Doctor to come after us, so then you can do your extermination thing. Typical of situations like this."

Deborah and Coltin just stare at me.

"What? I can be smart."

"You're a complete Doctor Who addict," Coltin says.

"Yeah, so am I," Deborah says.

"I'm surrounded by Whovians," Coltin says, "And I haven't seen a single episode of Doctor Who. Yeap, I'm dead meat."

"Indeed you are," I say, and start skipping.

"Emma. We're two feet away from a Dalek. Don't skip," Deborah says.

I stop skipping.

I hear a clattering noise from the grate above us, and before anyone can react, Jackson jumps down from above, landing on top of the Dalek.

"Jackson!" Coltin and I yell, backing away.

"Drummer boy!" Deborah yells, backing away.

"Whooo!" Jackson says, straddling the Dalek and gripping its eye stalk.

"Da- leks- are- not- modes- of- trans- por- ta- tion," it says. "Get- off."

"No way! This is fun!" Jackson says. He looks at us. "Well, what are you waiting for? Run! It can't electrocute me while I'm up here, but it can electrocute you! Now GO!"

Without hesitation, we run.
