Not this again (On Break)

A vine the size of seventy-five school buses tied end to end. Was wrapped around the oversize needle.
It seemed to be pulling the building foundation out of the ground. After a few minutes of watching it struggle to lift the colossal tower I turn to ask the little boy god what it's doing, but he wasn't there anymore.
"We need to find out what this things trying to do." Annabeth shouts as she starts to sprint towards the tower. We all start to run after her.
After a we had made it a few blocks the vine gives one more tug ripping the needle from the earth. Dirt starts to rain from the sky.
Before we could move the abomination throws the needle like it was a weightless spear. It flew throw the air like it was designed to be a projectile. When it landed it took out countless buildings and car.
When everything had settled the vine retracted back into earth. "Is everyone ok" Percy shouts. "Yea I think so. Oh gods no." Pipers whimpers. I turn around to find out what was wrong. I see Leo pinned against a concrete block wall. A metal rod from the building poking out of his sternal area. The rod had come off the tip top of the skyscraper. His coughs snapped me back to reality.
"oh gods Leo are you ok?" I yell as I dart to his side. "I'll get this our of you" I shout in his ear. "Calypso, don't touch the rod. You'll kill him." Annabeth pleads from across the street. "He'll die if I don't." I whimper. His head drops to his chest and his eyes close shut. Oh gods is he dead.
