Drella Elee's Magestic Institute: Good Or Deadly?

The Mistress

"And don't forget to wake up at 7:00 sharp!" The last of Drella Elee's sentence echoed out into the hallway right before I closed the door behind me.
My pink colored hair whipped behind me and hit Serivit, my new friend from yesterday.
"Sorry! Hey, what were you doing here anyway?" I asked, putting on a fake suspicious voice.
I shouldered my bag and the two of us walked down the hall to our dorm rooms.
"Just checking on you!" Seri smiled the crooked smile she always puts on when she's trying to be funny. "I thought Drella would dissaprove of your hair or something!"
I laughed. "Surely she wouldn't objectify against something as silly as that, would she? She hasn't in past years!"
I stopped as we entered the dorm room, bare on my side, as I hadn't moved back in from my trip to see my dad last week. I set up everything, but once I was about to flop on my bed Elee's voice sounded throughout the room.
"Would all students please make their way down to the dining hall. Lunch will be beginning in 5 minutes." Seri, despite her love for food, groaned and swung the door open.

"I heard that you were the only fat person in this school," A loud whisper penetrated my earlobes.
Rolling my eyes, I glanced behind me, nearly puking in the process as someone left the trash can right behind me so I got a whiff of that.
A curly redhead with long, thick lashes stood behind me in a teal miniskirt and black fitted tank. Her heels stood out among the crowd of battered sneakers.
I mean, really? Even she had a bit of bulge. Looking down at myself, I couldn't say that I was at my best, but at least I wasn't dressed as a piece of the sky. Fatwise? I say I could afford to lose a few pounds, but whatever. Considering my diet, I couldn't survive if I tried to lose weight. Still, the jab hit me only slightly, but enough to make me hiss back, "I heard that you were a lying, scheming little prissy girl who should mind her own beeswax!"
As satisfied as a cat who just swallowed a quart of milk, I turned back on my heel and faced the front, not daring to look back and see her face.

Once I was settled at my table with a plate of lasanga, a roll, and some soda, Seri looked around sneakily and asked, "Was that Jackylin you were talking to? She's new."
I shrugged, because in all honesty I didn't care what her name was; she was a snob without the pretty name.
"That was risky, but worth it. You should have seen her face!" Seri grinned smugly.
I replied carefully. "I can't say I'm proud of it, but she was making fun of my weight!"
"I heard you and her talking. In reality nearly everyone in here has at least a little extra poundage...take Kimmay Loungstock for example." Seri pointed in the direction of a blondie with glasses and a shy look on her face, "She worked all summer to lose 10 pounds, and she looks exactly the same as last year! Yet, she still looks beautiful. Remember?"
I felt a little better, but I still wasn't sure about this mean girl business. She wasn't even here last year, and I was an Alpha-Theta, meaning I had been here for 8 years and counting.
"She wasn't even here last year though!" I complained, "She doesn't know me!"
"Didn't I say she's new?" Seri's spoon dangled in the air as she rolled her eyes, "Besides, what else to kick off the year with a little drama?"

Little did I know that once my birthday came, a little drama would turn into a lot.
