Of Vines and Men

After having breakfast and a shower, which I had taken for granted at Camp, I was left on the sofa I had met Luke on. Luke walked in, looking through papers and mumbling to himself. he crouched and looked under the sofa before I said something, rolling my eyes.

"What are you looking for?" I asked, getting off the sofa and watching his scramble around.

"Shut up you're distracting me." He mumbled, then slammed his hands on a desk."I can't find it."

"Find what?" I asked again, staring at the back of his head until he turned around. "I will keep asking until you tell me." Luke turned around and shot me a glare, leaning against the desk and crossing his arms. We stared at each other for a solid minute, fighting each other without a word.

"Notes." Luke answered me shortly, still holding my glare.

"You know, it'd be good to be nice to me. Or nicer. I may change my mind and decide not to help you." I sat back down, feeling his expression soften just slightly.

"You've finally seen the light?"

"There are no windows but this florescent lighting sure does blind me."

"Sarcasm. Nice." He rolled his eyes. "First piece of information you'd like to share with me? I trained Percy, so leave that out."


"Annabeth is his biggest weakness." II stated plainly, choosing both to give something huge and to hit Luke hard. Whether he would admit it or not, he cared.

"Annabeth?" His voice dropped, taking a moment to shake his head, "What am I supposed to do with that? Kidnap her?" He asked, laughing like it was a crazy idea.

"Didn't have a problem kidnapping me."

"Point taken, but she matters to me."

"Hurtful." I rolled my eyes, "I'm just information, she's the person you kept safe when you were 13. I get it."
