After begin absorbed by the tenth angel I haven't left shinji's side. He saved me from it through sheer willpower. I haven't been able to even consider spending a second away from him.
"Rei, are you ok?" Misato's voice startles me out of my daydream (more like daymares). "Um... Yes I'm ok thanks" I squeak clinging to shinji's arm.
"Good, because if we plan to kill the angels we need to stop daydreaming" asuka remarks. "Asuka give Rei a break her and shinji went through a lot with the tenth angel." misato says with a slightly raised voice. "Oh boo hoo. Don't you remember Eva unit 03 beginning ripped to shreds with me inside by Eva unit 01. I don't bitch about that." Asuka's shouts back at misato. "Umm asuka, not to be rude, but you just did bitch about it." Shinji adds.
"Shut up. I'm a much better pilot than you anyway I've earned the right to complain." Asuka brags. "I single-handedly defeated the toughest angel we've seen yet. Remember?" shinji throws back in her face.
"Guys your a team, and if you want to survive you need to act like one." Misato states.
"Fine by me" shinji finishes. "Ugh ok" asuka whines. "Good, I don't want this to happen again." Misato adds.
I begin to look out the window at the location where the second impact took place. It appears to be retracting back toward the center.
"So misato where are we going anyway. I mean on earth, of course" Asuka awkwardly ask. "Well, the estimated location of the next angel is England or France." Misato answers. "I've always wanted to go to England" I perk up and say. "I just wish we were here under better circumstances." Shinji remarks. "We're almost there. Everybody be ready for a hasty deploy if neccesary." misato says before floating over to the window next to me.
