"Listen up everybody the angels have started to divert their attention to Europe. In response I am mobilizing Eva units 00-02. The geofront is already destroyed, but we have an ace in the hole." Misato Katsuragi carries on "a secret multi-trillion dollar space station. I've already made plans to have the Eva transported to it."
"Um don't European countries have Eva units as well?" I ask. "Well their pilots aren't as effective as you guys. All their Evas have been destroyed." Misato replies. Everyone sighs in unison. "Then how do you expect us to win." I ask again. "Are you that stupid? We're clearly much better pilots than they are." Asuka shouts in my left ear.
"Alright that's enough for you two save your strength for the real enemy. We leave at 1700 hours.
After most people had dispersed I pull rei into a utility closet. "Are you scared that we might not win." I ask hoping I'm not the only doubtful person.
"No" she says in her usual mistic and slightly emotionless way. "How the angels defeated every pilot in Europe?" I plead. "They may have been defeated, but WE have never lost a fight together." She perks up and says. I try to find more flaws in the plan, but my thoughts are interrupted when she pulls me into kiss.
After about thirty seconds she pulls away and smiles. "What was that for?" I ask. "For good luck. We have to go anyway." She manages to utter through her smile. With that we head off to meet Misato and Asuka, hand in hand.
