War with the monster

The hills started to rumble as a giant dragon took off from them. The dragon looked lost, like it was searching, then it looked at us and its eyes narrowed. It held its gaze like it was deciding something, and then it dived.
"Percy run" Annabeth screamed at me. I looked towards the camp to see Annabeth running for help, but I just sat there frozen in fear as the dragon came down, then I noticed it wasn't coming for me, it was going for Annabeth. I felt a surge of protectiveness and started to run for Annabeth. She didn't notice that the dragon was about to grab her so I took riptide, uncapped it and leaped at the dragon. It managed to pull up to avoid me and started to turn around, I then looked back at Annabeth and noticed that she was unconscious with a cut on her forehead. I then noticed the dragon diving at me; I didn't have time to raise my sword so I dived to the side. Apparently the dragon expected that because it reached its hand out and tried to grab me, fortunately I tripped out of the way, unfortunately I landed on Annabeth. I tried to get up but my arm was tangled in Annabeth’s. I looked back at the dragon to see it landing next to us, it's eyes watching us, wait, watching, what was it doing, why wasn't it ripping us to shreds. I then tried to get my arm out, and then the dragon started growling. I stopped moving and it stopped growling, it then hit me, it could only see movement. I slowly started moving my arms out of Annabeth’s and reached for riptide. I curled my hand around the handle and slowly lifted it off the ground. As soon as I was standing I dived underneath him and cut his leg. The dragon roared in anger and grabbed me, as he crushed me in his grip I saw Annabeth start to stir, apparently the dragon saw it to, because he stopped crushing me and started to reach for Annabeth. As I tried to squeeze my arm out his grip tightened and I blacked out.

THE SUSPENSE! I hope you guys enjoyed because I got bored of waiting and decided to write another chapter. I decided to use a dragon because it was the only thing I could think of. See you next time.
