The Divergent Demigods

After everyone fell asleep in the dormitory, I walked to the pit. I needed to get some air that I didn't have to share with Peter. I mean, couldn't everyone tell that he stabbed Edward in the eye? Who else would do it? I took a deep breath and froze. I heard foot steps coming down the hall.
"Hello?" The person asked. I sighed. It's just Four. I stepped out of the darkness and towards the light.
"Hey Four. It's just me." I called back.
"Oh." He said. "What are you doing here? This is my hideout." He said with a laugh.
"I couldn't sleep." I lied. "Too many things on my mind." That wasn't necessarily a lie. I couldn't stop thinking about my family. Mom, Dad, and Caleb. Was it right for me to leave Abnegation? To leave them? Snap out of it! I thought. What's in the past is done. Just focus on Four.
"Hello, Tris? I asked you a question!" Four whispered-yelled.
"Sorry" I apologized. "What did you say?"
"I said, how are you doing. You know. With Edward and all." Four says more quietly this time. "I mean, I know you two aren't that close but I heard about what you did in the dormitory. That was pretty nice."
I take a deep breath. He's right, we aren't that close but, I know Peter did it. I saw the hatred in his eye when Edward was revealed as first place. He wasn't even there when Edward was stabbed. Why shouldn't I be suspicious?
"I'm holding up all right." I lie again. Know I see how I couldn't be Candor, the honest. "Who do you think did it?" I ask Four.
"I know for a fact that Peter did it." Four said.
"Finally someone who understands! I mean-" I cut myself off. "If you know Peter did it, why didn't you tell Eric? He could punish Peter!" I practically yell.
"Shhhhhh, Tris. Calm down. I didn't tell Eric because he wouldn't believe me. I mean, I don't have any proof." I respond.
"Yeah, but don't you guys have any cameras or something? If not you need to get them." I say. All Four does is shake is head then looks at the floor. "Ugh!" I say frustrated. I march back to the dormitory without looking back at Four once. Why did I choose Dauntless?
