Camp Hogwarts

Harry and Ron's Room Explodes

I walked into the room Hermione and I would be sharing and made my bed. Hermione zoomed pictures onto walls, and she stared at one for especially long. "Are those your parents?" I asked. Her head snapped towards me and she dropped the picture. "Oh my god, I'm really sorry. Here. I--I'll fix it, I'm so sorry." I picked up the pieces, ready to glue them together, and Hermione laughed. She had a really pretty laugh, the kind that was all tinkly and sweet.
"Don't worry about it. Here, give it to me. Have you been taught preliminary magic?" she asked. I shrugged as I handed her the photograph.
"Well, yeah, but how would that..." my mouth formed a perfect 'O'. "Well... um... I sort of forgot." She laughed again.
"Reparo," she said, and the pieces came together as if on their own accord. "Now that that's all fixed," she murmured, "we'll wait for the boys' room to explode." I looked at her questioningly. "Oh, it's happened at least once a year ever since we came to Hogwarts. I guess, being in Ravenclaw, you wouldn't know."
"Explode?" I spluttered.
"Oh, yeah. Explode, combust, whatever you want to call it. Just wait. In three, two, one..." and surely enough, a blast came from Harry and Ron's room. We laughed. "Come on," she beckoned. "Let's go." We hurried over to their bedroom, where Harry was standing with a charred face, glasses blown off and hair even messier than usual, and Ron's hair looked even more fiery than it had before. "Oh, boys," Hermione tutted. "Aguamenti." Ron's hair turned back to normal. They both pointed at each other.
"He started it!" Ron exclaimed childishly.
"No I didn't, I swear it was him!" Harry retorted.
"Stop lying!"
"I'm not!"
"Yes you are! You're such a liar, Harry!"
"You're the liar!"
"Gods, what happened?" Annabeth asked as she arrived at the scene. "Aw, now you look just like Percy."
"Who looks like me?" Percy asked. "Oh. Oh, yeah, you do. Just after Tartarus." Will and Nico hopped in.
"Ooh, fire," Will breathed.
"Back off, man," Nico grinned, kissing him on the cheek. We all jokingly gagged--except Hermione and Annabeth, because they were too mature or whatever.
"Um, now that dilemma's fixed, let's start planning," Harry said, making his voice deeper, as if to sound more mature. Hermione giggled, and Ron looked insanely jealous.
"Right. We have the first horcrux now," Hermione began, "and we just have to figure out how to destroy it."
"Er... Reducto," Harry tried. It blasted him backwards.
"Harry--careful. You don't want your room to explode again, do you?" she asked, putting a warning hand on Harry's arm. Ron looked, if possible, as red as his hair. Harry looked ashamed of himself.
"Um... sorry. That was stupid of me," he muttered.
"You're right. It really was," she admonished. "Right, so common spells won't work here, and this is why we need you... demigods? Is that right?" We nodded. "You all have exceptional magical ability, and I'm trusting that Lena chose the right four to accompany her." They nodded eagerly. "So... um, what are your powers?" she asked.
"I'm a watery god," Percy said proudly. "I can summon hurricanes and everything." Hermione looked impressed, and Annabeth grinned.
"Here, have a cookie," she laughed. "Um. I've really got no powers--"
"Besides being the smartest person on Earth," Percy finished. "She's a freaking genius. Plus she has this laptop with so many blueprints from Daedalus and she can invent anything."
"I--Daedalus?" Hermione asked. Annabeth nodded. "Oh, god, he's my idol!"
"I know, right? The best inventor of all time--"
"Even with no specific magical power--"
"Er, you girls can fangirl later. Next," Ron interrupted.
"I'm the son of Apollo, so think fire and sunbeams," Will grinned. "Oh, and archery. Really great archery. And amazing poetry, if you want to hear it. I have a piece I wrote just a week ago, it's called--"
"No one wants to hear your poetry, babe," Nico stopped him. "You're amazing, but your poetry isn't. Oh, and I can summon the dead. Not as cool as fire and hurricanes, you know, but I think it comes pretty close."
"Always the one-upper, aren't you, Di Angelo?" Percy muttered.
"I'm pretty much the same as Will," I answered.
"Except like a thousand times more powerful," he added.
"Oh, Will, stop, you're making me blush."
"Glad to be of service."

Notes

Right... I'm so sorry I haven't updated in forever, but my grades were just awful and I needed to pick them up. But it's summer now, so you should see updates more regularly!
Sorry that this was more of a filler chapter than anything, but I needed to put some sort of lightheartedness in this chapter, because h\the next one's going to be depressing.
Oops! Better not reveal too much! Bye for now!
