A new life

"Welcome percy to Calfornia High of the Beneficent!" Said my new principal- Mr. Mideas.
"My pleasure to be here, sir." I responded formally. Mr. Mideas started talking about the pleasures of the school and the different activities I could take. He said that my swim captain was around here somewhere but he was always terribly late.
Meet were walking towards the front office when I noticed the ocean. It was amazing. In New York you get cold oceans with no waves and it was New York so it was probably a thousand times more polluted. But here in California it took my breath away. The sea was brilliant blue and green and I could smell the ocean even though we were two miles off the beach from this point on campus. I could waves but not waves that would overtake a new comer at suffer yet still satisfied an expert.
"Why, yes, you probably don't see this type of ocean in New York do you? I quite love it here because of this. At sunset it is a thousand times more magnificent. The whole ocean seems to flow with golds and oranges.
I saw a boy with black hair and shocking blue eyes come out of the water.
"Ah yes here we go. The swim captain." Princapal Mideas said.
"Triton! Late again are we?" He said.
"Yes sir!" He siad smiling like this was no big deal. he nodded towards me.
"Hey I'm Eric but everyone calls me triton. Well most everyone. And I guess I'll be your captain. I've seen you compete. Glad to see your on my team not a against me!" He said smiling.
"thanks." I said shyly.
"Triton will you tell percy about swim meet. I'm afraid I do not believe I am calcified to do so and uh introduce him to the welcoming committee?" He asked.
"Yes sir!" Triton said with fake salute. Princapal Mideas only rolled his eyes at triton. I decided I liked them both already.
When princapal Mideas was gone triton said,"Come on percy!" And started heading down towards the path opposite of the beach.
So- of course -I followed him.
