" why would I be leader. your the oldest and the most experienced. we all trust you. your the strongest. I mean you have been through so much. I think I am the strongest power wise. no offence. " said Jason. he looked at me and smiled like he was joking but I don't think he was. but he is probably right, he is the strongest power wise. well his dad is the leader of the gods so it makes sense.
" I just thought cause your dad is the leader and your the strongest." I said.
" im not so sure about that. percy, your really powerful. and you heard your dad, you have yet to reach your full potential. " said annabeth. we all started to laugh . I looked at her. I love that smile. I love her.
" I love your smile. im going to miss it when it starts. " I say. we all stop.
" wait. when what starts." said frank. I look at him. I have no idea what he's talking about.
" I don't know what your talking about. when what starts." I ask. annabeth takes a few steps closer to me so our faces are a foot apart. she look into my eyes. we stand there like that for a minute.
" percy, annabeth, are y'all ok. is there something wrong." said leo. he came over and waved his hand between our faces.
" im sorry. I don't know what came over me. lets keep going" said annabeth. I can tell she is worried. well we walk she keeps looking at me after ten minutes it just get annoying so I say
" im sorry but can I help you. you keep looking at me like im luke or something. what do you want. " I can tell I hurt her. I look around at the others . they all are staring at me lime im the worst thing ever
"don't . percy you know that wasn't luke. and this isn't you. you keep saying weird things and then not remembering them. and you keep just freaking out about nothing. yes I was looking at you. that's causeur my boyfriend and im worried." she said.
" I am sorry I don't remember things im saying today. I just have a lot on my mind about the quest. its a lot of pressure, ok. " I said.
" but that's the thing. its not just today. you've been doing this , not remembering I mean, for days, two weeks maybe. and im scarred. what if kronos is hiding out in your mind or something. " she said. I take her hand but she pulls away. shes scarred.
" im fine. can we just walk. " I say. they all say ok and we start to move. but I can tell that they are keeping their distance from me. even annabeth. she is walking with hazel who is next to frank next to leo, piper, Jason and then reyna and nico. then me .
" you know what, im hungry . there is a sonic around the corner. im going to get fries. do any of you want something." I ask. the all shake their heads. so I walk over to the sonic by my self. well im walking I think, " I bet they just don't want to be with me. they have to be hungry . we barely got to eat dinner and its almost eight. what was annabeth talking about me saying things and not remembering them. shes scarred. maybe she was right . maybe kronos is in my mind. yeah right, and hera loves annabeth. I killed kronos."
I get to the sonic. I order fries and a blue coconut slush. I eat while I walk. when I get back to the group annabeth walks up to me and says
" im sorry. its not you. I just..... hearing you talk about luke, its hard for me . hewas like my brother. and then I lost thalia and then him and I just.... I cant loose you to. I love you."
" I love you too. i sorry for talking about luke that way. I didn't mean it." I say. she comes up and hugs me . when she starts to pull away I kiss her.
" get a room you guys. please tell me I don't look like that when I kiss ." said leo. we start to walk and I grab her hand.
