Rachel Dare

I wasn't able to make contact with Aphrodite. I threw the coin in, and her image never showed up. It pissed me off. She is a goddess, and she does have responsibility.
I was sleeping when I heard them pounding at my door. "Go away, mom," I groaned.
"Rachel!"
"It's us, Rachel!"
I had slept in my clothes, and could feel the dry tears on my face. As I sat up, I saw the painting of anguish propped up against a wall.
I got up out of bed, my hair sticking out every which way, and opened the door.
"Hi Rachel," Connor was blushing as he said this.
"What do you two want? I just woke up."
Travis was suppressing a laugh. "You look... nice,
Connor nudged him. "Listen, Rachel. We have to talk to you."
I straightened my spine and raised my eyebrows. "Come in."
"So what do you need to talk to me about?" I scrutinized them, hopefully intimidating them.
"Uh, well," Travis started talking before his brother could. "We actually need you to settle an argument for us."
I raised a single eyebrow.
Connor jumped in. "Yeah, which one of us do you prefer?"
I opened my mouth in disbelief. "Are you serious?"
I was angry with them for asking me this because, even I didn't know. It's like when someone asks what your favorite ice cream flavor is when you haven't tasted them all. I could feel the uncertainty in my throaght, crawling up like a sob.
"I just- I really don't know. You're so similar that if I kiss one of you, I don't even k of which one it is. I-" I noticed Travis looking at my hell painting.
He looked at me. He looked horrified. "When did you paint this?"
I shook my head. "Just last night, why?"
He touched his agonized, painted doppelganger. "I had a dream just like this..." He shook his head and turned away.
"Listen guys," I was feeling a lot of pain and confusion. "I can't answer your question."
I walked into my mini-kitchen and but the kettle on the stove. I heard the door slam, and a lone tear fell from my face, and sizzled in the stoves fire.
