Camp Legacy
Chapter 13
--Bianca's POV--
--Flashback--
My phone starts to beep. I look, and see that it is Sally. I immediately answer. She has always been like a second mom in my eyes.
"Hello?"
"Hi Bianca. How's your day going?" she asks.
"It's okay," I reply. What am I supposed to say: My thirteen year old daughter died, and I can't even see her one last time?
"I heard about what happened, but I have something that will brighten your day. Your daughter Alexis is sitting on my couch. None of anybody's children died. They will explain what happened when we all get to camp."
"Okay. I'm on my way," I say hanging up the phone.
I burst into tears of joy. I'm not much of a crier, but when you hear your dead child is alive, you have to cry.
Alexis takes after me in that...She never cries. Even when she broke her leg on the play ground. I could tell she wanted to, but didn't.
"Jake get the car started!" I yell.
He opens the garage door, and backs the car out. He comes right back in.
"Why'd you want me to start the car?" he asks.
"We are going to see Alexis."
"Uhh. Stop joking. It's only funny when I do it. And I never joke about our dead daughter," he replies.
"I got a phone call from Sally. We have to go to the camp. That's where we are meeting them.
I grab Jake's hand, and head outside. A hellhound bursts out of the shrubs snagging Jake by his shirt collar and dragging him back into a shadow. I grab the bronze knife out of my boot, and run to attack at it.
The next thing I know is that a cyclops is blocking me from getting to Jake. I stab it in the stomach though it doesn't die. My first mistake is letting my guard down for a minute. The cyclops grabs my arms, and turns me around. I drop my knife. I try to get out of his grip; I fail. He walks me towards the car. Once we are a foot away. He bangs my head on it. My vision begins to blurry. He bangs my head on the car to more times. I fall to the ground, and black out.
I wake up chained to a wall. Jake is chained on the wall across from me. I try to shadow travel out of the chains, but every time I try, I get a splitting headache.
--End of Flashback--
"Jake! Wake up!" I yell from across the room. I kick a rock over at him. He opens his eyes, and looks at me.
"Where are we?" he asks. "And what happened to you? You've got blood all over the side of your face."
"We got jumped," I answer. "And a cyclops sorta beat me up. Well actually, he banged my head on the car."
"This sucks," Jake sighs.
"Yeah," I say. "I hope someone finds us soon."
