Little Hunter

Chapter Two

Peter was lucky he had basically everyone at camp on his side or I would've moon-beamed his miserable behind right there on the spot - “OK so maybe I have more explaining to do, First of when I say ‘moon-beam’ I’m talking about actual moon-beams that I can shoot out of my hands, Secondly usually everyone hates the children of Hades but Peter is a special case or in other words he brainwashed everyone to believe he was a good guy and it worked on everyone but me. And finally if you want to know what I have against Peter well he’s spying for the giants that escaped from the doors of death three years ago and he’s a guy and yes I know that sounds bad but hello daughter of Artemis here. Anyway back to my story”- Peter eyed me down as me and the Aphrodite cabin went into the mess hall we were the first to arrive so they all sat at the table and I went and found a dark corner to stand in like I always did when I was early, I found corner close enough to the Artemis table that I could get there quickly when breakfast started but far enough from the Aphrodite table that I wouldn’t have to put up with their
nonstop talking . I stood in the corner fidgeting with the locket when I felt that someone was watching me and when i looked up I saw Nico di angulo standing in the corner across from me also eyeing me down - “ Nico how in the name of Olympus am I even going to start to explain Nico, lets see, well he is the son of Hades, he spends more time with the dead than the living, and is EXTREMELY CREEPY especially when he just shows up out of nowhere, it could give you a heart attack”- I really didn't know Nico’s story other than the fact that he saw camp one and left then he came back and left again so on and so forth but recently he became the head counselor for the Hades cabin and he was working on fitting in. I let out a small humorless laugh at the thought of fitting in at least he had siblings where as I have no one even my own berth father wanted me but he didn't want to let me go unharmed so he gave me the scar that now permanently ran from where the bottom off my right ear and ended around seven inches away from the corner of my eye so it was easily hidden with my midnight black hair. about five minutes later the rest of the campers arrived at the mess hall so we got our food and scraped half of our plate into the fireplace as an offering to our godly parents nothing special nothing new. I sat at the end of the Artemis table away from the other kids. After I finished eating I headed of to my first lesson of the day, Archery the best lesson of the day because well Archery comes very naturally to me ( maybe because of who my mother was or because before my adoptive parents sent me to boarding school and I figured out I was a demigod I spent all my time with a bow and a quiver full of arrows at an Archery Range most likely both). I was half way down to the Archery Range when I was approached by one of the older campers that I didn't recognize but yet again I barely pay attention to names or faces unless they hold some sort of importance or I’m forced to make friends with them (that happens more than you would think). The camper was tall and skinny with shaggy blond and grey eyes most likely a child of Athena, He walked right up to me “you have been requested at the big house be there in five minutes no later” and he walked off “thanks a lot” I whispered to myself before sprinting to the big house
