Accidental Soulmate

Today was the day. Date day, Movie day, Pizza day, Popcorn day, My-love-life-doomsday.
In other words, Friday.
I debated whether to watch TV in the living room, for all to see, or in my room, where the others could make up thereoies of what Percy and I are really doing in here.
Living room it is.
I checked my watch, 4:00. So he should be here in about 2 and a half hours.... What to do... What to do...
"Hey there, Bethinator!!" Piper greeted me, scaring me half out of my wits.
I'm pretty sure I leaped a mile.
"Woah, someone's jittery." Piper chuckled.
"You just startled me, McLean." I crossed my arms over my chest and glared at my Cherokee best friend.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure your pulse could beg to differ." She fake yawned. "So the girls and I are heading out to Friday's later for a girls night out, and maybe we'll catch a movie or whatever. So, you wanna come?" She asked.
I shook my head. "Got plans already."
Piper rolled her eyes, "So you count burying your face into some History or Architecture book 'plans,?"
I shifted uncomfortably. I hadn't told them yet about my date with Percy, and if they found out now, they'd either sulk, make fun, or kill me.
"Erm...." I ran my fingers through my hair and nervously laughed, which was so unlike me.
"Well?" Piper asked. She arched an eyebrow.
just when I was about to make up some sort of explanation, a knock at the door interrupted me.
"Annabeth? I know I'm early, but I didnt wanna be late for our first date, so.... If you could open up, that would be great.... That rhymed! Awesome!" Percy's voice called out.
"For the love of God, talk about timing, Jackson." I muttered as I turned red.
Piper's jaw dropped. No doubt she recognized the male voice coming from the other side of that piece of metal.
"Y-you have a freaking date, with Percy Jackson..... AND YOU DIDNT EVEN TELL ME??? YOUR OWN ROOMMATE?!!" Piper exploded.
Percy quieted down, obviously hearing Piper's screaming. I tried to calm her down.
"Piper, chill. It's just Netflix and pizza. We're literally just hanging out." I told her.
She glared at me like I had grown three heads. "Did you literally just say that with a straight face? Everyone knows that whenever a guy comes over to "chill", they end up becoming friends with freaking benefits!" She cried.
I turned red, and by Percy's sharp intake from outside, I could guess he was either mad or mortally embarrassed.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, like we're gonna do the deed in the living room, where anyone can walk in and see us. That's soo gonna happen, Piper."
Finally she calmed down and smiled. "Annabeth Isabel Chase finally has a date.... Annabeth has a date. Annie has a date!" She squealed.
I groaned. "Quit it with the nicknames, Pipes."
She ignored me, as usual. "ANNIEBETHIE HAS A DATIE!! ANNIEBETHIE HAS A DATIE!" She shrieked. Then she literally skipped to the door and yanked it open. Percy fell in ear first. When he stumbled up, he actually mumbled, "I was listening in at all..."
Piper shoved him towards me. Percy crashed into me and we fell onto the couch. Then she giggled and shut the door, but not before she whispered, "Have fun, lovebirds."
Piper then cackled in delight and closed the door, but we could still hear her talking to herself. "My nerd of a best friend finally has a love life. *cue sigh* I've died and gone to Heaven. Or how Miss Greak Freak would say, I've died and gone to Elysium." This caused another round of cackles as Piper talked to herself, repeating the same lines over and over, "Bethie has a date. Bethie has a DATE. I'm so telling Thalia that another one of her friends is dating her family members. *cue laughter* Ahh, Annie's getting a life."
Percy got off of me and blushed. "Sorry about that."
I smiled. "It's fine, but why are you so early?"
"Trying to get rid of me so soon, Annabeth? God, that hurts right here." He patted his heart.
I rolled my eyes. "You know what I meant, Jackson."
"Ouch, hitting the last name basis are we, Chase?"
"Whatever, Percy."
