The light in our sky

Athena/Mary POV

Another boring day at Olympus. Well after some thousand years every day is boring. But something interesting happened today. Most of the gods were at the throne room and the tv was turned on.

Immediately I recognized Camp Half Blood. But what I saw got me a little scared. It was a fight between two demigods against a cyclops. The blonde girl was tied against a tree and the boy was fighting alone. The problem was that the girl was Annabeth, my daughter, and the boy was Percy Jackson, son of my enemy, Poseidon

When the gods started to realize what was happening, they all became surprised. Even Aphrodite, despite her "shipping smile" for Percy risking his life to protect my daughter. The situation got me very upset and angry.
- Who was the idiot who let monsters into the Camp?! - I yelled to all the gods.
-Hey calm down! I want to know too. - Zeus said.

- If I were you I would keep even calm ! Because my daughter isn't about to die or something..- I yelled back at the god of the gods, sarcasm visible in my voice.
Next, I turned my back and ran out the room. After a while I noticed someone has followed me. I turned to see the person I less wanted to see now.

-What? - I asked with a cold tone.

- You overreacted. - Poseidon said

-You think? Maybe if one of your sons was tied to a tree with a cyclops defenseless you would understand - I was trying hard to keep calm

- She wasn't the only there. He was there too.

-That's different! Percy was there because he wanted. Annabeth had no choice!

- He was protecting your daughter! - we were yelling at each other now.

-Then there wasn't! No one asked him to play hero and save her!

- And you think you're the only who doesn't accept that? Do you think I agreed on their relationship too?

-Yes! You don't care at all...

- Yes I care. You just don't understand. I care about Percy as much as you care about your daughter, but it's not preventing them from being with each other that will make they love someone else. - He said that in a lower tone.

-I know a son of mine wasn't supposed to be friend with your daughter, much less loving her; but what can we do now? We can't separate them. So the only thing we can do is support them - He continued.

- No we don't. Much less Percy. He does things moved by emotion. He doesn't use the reason when is important. Annabeth deserves someone better, and I will end their relationship even if it is the hardest thing I do in my life.

- Fine. You don't wanna to understand. I won't insist more. But you have to realize you can't get all the things you want. And with that conversation, we left, leaving me speechless in the middle of the room. The tears I was holding started to slip down my face.

(Mary POV)
The elevator doors opened. So my mother wanted to talk to me.. I didn't know if it was better to wait for it to be good or bad. So, I took a deep breath and started to walk for the throne room.

When I got there, the gods were all in silence, like there was something wrong. I spotted Aphrodite in the middle of them. She had already noticed I was there, so she made a excuse to the other gods, and came next to me.
- Let's talk somewhere more private shall we? - She said with a fake smile, while dragged me out of the room.
She started to walk along the hallway and I just followed her. I had no idea where we were going. Eventually, the goddess stopped at a door, and opened it.
Behind the door was a really big room. Almost everything was pink. The walls, the rugs, the silk sheets of the large bed, the fluffy pillows covering them. Everything really.
- Wow! - was all I could say. Even for a daughter of Aphrodite it was excessively pink. Apparently not for Aphrodite herself
- You can come in you know? - My mother asked while sat on the bed. That's when I noticed I was still at the door. I step into the room shyly, closing the door behind me. Next I sat at a pink sofa next to the bed.
It was really intimidating being with a goddess alone on her own room, even if the referred goddess was your mother. After a period of silence I hesitantly asked:
- Why are the gods so serious? What's wrong?
- Well.. - She finally started to talk - Do you remember a while ago, that mission I asked you?
- The one about Percy? Yes why? - don't getting what it had to do with my question
- It seems that you took it a bit to far..
Well... I kinda had to agree with her on that.
-Yes I know.. Things didn't went as good as I planned.
- I know. As planned, everything was being transmitted on the TV, but instead of a good plan from a daughter of Aphrodite, we all saw the two demigods about to die... - She said.
- I'm sorry, really. I didn't wanted to put their lives in danger.
- Ok. I forgive you, but just this time. And that doesn't mean I'm not disappointed with you.
- Ok.. - I said. Well I knew this would be something bad. I came to Olympus to hear my mother rebuke me.
- But if you want me to forget that, I have something else to ask you.
I had a bad feeling about this.
- As you can imagine, the plan didn't worked, and Athena only got mad. So my purpose is for you to make another plan. A less dangerous this time please.
- Wait, what? - So, my plan failed, and you want me to make another one?!
- Yes. You're the only daughter I have with skills for mess up with the gods!
Well, I had no other choice besides accepting it so that's what I did. Once our talk was done, I opened the door to leave. Only to remember that I had no idea where I was. I thought I hear footsteps, but as the hallway was empty I concluded it was only my mother, come close to the door to take me back to the elevator.
***
(Athena POV)
As soon as I hear the girl getting ready to leave, I started to run as fast as I could, away from the room.
So it was her fault! It was her fault that my daughter almost died! And she asked her daughter!
I went back to the throne room, expecting to get there before the pink freak. I sat at my throne and waited. Finally, I saw Aphrodite taking her daughter to the elevator and next she came to the room. It was my time to get revenge, and since nobody was there I started:

She looked astonished, but only for a second, because right after she started to laugh uncontrollably. I was feeling my anger starting to get on the limit.
- You really think that was fun? She could have died! Would you like it to be with Molly?? - I asked while she started to stop laugh
- It's Mary for your information! And can't you see? It was your fault that this whole thing happened! And we were helping her!
- Yes helping her by attacking her with a monster! What a nice way to help the others!
- You were being so stubborn about don't want Annabeth to be with Percy that we had to make you see that they would do anything for each other!
For a second I didn't said anything. She striked one weak point. I hated to admit it but partly she was right. I didn't wanted to admit that Percy risked his life to save Annabeth. But it was no reason to get them attacked by a monster. And right when I was about to say that someone spoke for me
- Alright! There was enough fighting for today! The next person I see or hear screaming gets punished! - Zeus interrupter our fight while entering the room

- Ahh yes, Aphrodite! I need to have a word with you in private! - He addedSo we all left and I went to my room.

Notes

Hii again!! So.. for those who followed this story as Luna-Chase there is a new chapter!!

I know it's terrible but I had no better idea how to improve it and as I said I wanted a bit more "drama", but at the same time I suck at it so.. sorry :S

Other thing: I didn't posted this sooner because my PC is all laggy and I couldn't write the story. It was always deleting the parts I wrote everytime I clicked on space or something. But now is better xD

PS: comment what you think plss. (Next chapter wil be less "stupid")

Comments

Ok.. So I know I'm not posting regularly, but I'm losting motivation. Why?? Because I post a new chapter and no one comments, I have no new subscribers, and when I don't post In a long time, no one says anything. Is like I'm writting this for no one.. So Tell me honestly: Should I continue this story?? Is anyone interested that I keep on writting?? Sorry for being too harsh but what i'm saying is true.. :(
