Falling to Pieces

The camp had been under attack for a month and a half before all the monsters took over. Percy and I hadn't slept that whole time. A few hours before the camp was taken over, I had taken a sword in the knee for Percy. Thee pain was so unbearable that i had passed out.

I had woken up in the infirmary with Piper in the chair beside me. She explained to me that Percy had slayed the monster I took the blow from, carried me all the way to the infirmary and had protested when he was told to go back and fight. He wanted to stay by my side but when he saw the situation outside he made sure that she would be waiting with me. Piper said that she promised to notify Percy the second I woke up. She strapped on her armor, grabbed her dagger and cleared her throat. Seconds later she ran out yelling at monsters all around that she was too much for them to fight and that they should get away.

About an hour and a half later i started getting worried. i tried getting out of the bed when I saw Percy rush in through the door. He was beaded with sweat and his usually sparkling sea green eye were looking very alert. He came over to me running and just straight up kissed me. After about a few moments we pulled apart. He said:" Why Annabeth?! You know I'd rather die then see you in pain!" I looked at him with teary eyes " Well you know that I would rather die then see you in pain too right?" Right then he kissed me again. "The situation is getting worse we need to get you out of here" he said as he stared out the door. "What about the other injured ones?" I asked him
"Everyone is in good enough shape to fight." he replied to me grimly.
There were loud thuds on the door followed by monsters grunting. The monsters knocked the door open and the one in the lead had an ugly smile on his face. He came in and said: " I'm sorry about eavesdropping, but"- He stared at me as if he were examining a new toy. He then stared at Percy and laughed-" I think I found an excellent torture method to use on you Perseus Jackson"
He signaled to the other monsters to grab us, and so they did. They then brought me up to the leader. Their leader took a knife out of his bag, unbandaged my still soaking wet with blood wound, and started cutting a joke deeper and deeper in it. I screamed in pain and I saw Percy crying and yelling at them to stop as he struggled to get to me. The monster gang covered my mouth so that I would shut up. The pain started to make me pass out and everything started to seep into darkness. The last thing I heard that night was Percy's screams to let go of me and stop hiring and touching me while the leader said with a cackle "this is going to be a long few nights for the two of you assuming she survives!!"
