The Black and White

I wish I could put it into words. The amount of suffering and pain I've seen in my lifetime. It's all so much. The others will never know. They've lost the ability to feel. To think for themselves. The Keepers have taken that away from them. But I remember. I remember the snow. The warmth of the sun. The way it felt to be loved, to be cherished by someone. The thrill of a roller coaster, the pain of falling off a bike, getting punched in the jaw, the way it felt in battle when you see your comrades and friends die in front of you. I remembered. And it's time they did too.
