Mashup

The sky was dark. I could tell it was going to rain. I grab my staff and jacket on my way out the door. I'm two blocks away from the portal when I hear yells. Down the street I see a gang fight. Or so it seems. Three big guys, in leather jackets and tattoos on every inch of their bodies. Across from them backed up against a wall, was a young Latino boy around my age, his hair flying everywhere. He has a crazy grin on his face and so does his buddy. The other one has dark olive skin and brown hair with heavy bangs over his eyes. Both don't look to worried, but I could see there was about to be trouble. The tallest guy reaches back into what I swear is a holster and I move. Their shaped flicker, and I'm looking into the daut.
The three tough guys look bigger. Their skin radiates a cold blue-ish glow. The gun is a cannon ball. I charge, glyphs floating off my staff,

Bind
Protect,
At the same time the Latino boy opens his clenched fist and I see a flame. His friend yells. The air turns into pure heat. The protective glyphs glow weekly around me.
Then all goes white.
