The Thirteenth Olympian (Remake)

"Perseus," Artemis said, calling me by my godly name, "Why is it that you are always harassing my Hunters?" She spoke in an icy tone. I have always been slightly scared of Artemis, ever since she threatened to turn me into a jackalope. Now was no different.

"Nobody was harrasing anyone, okay? Except for those guys." I motioned at the passed out drunkards. Artemis kept her silver eyes on me, before turning to Thalia. She explained the whole, since Artemis probably wouldn't listen to me.

Artemis nodded thoughtfully afterwards. She turned to Claire.

"Young maiden, how would you like to become my sister-in-arms, an immortal huntress?" she asked.

My jaw dropped. "Claire, you don't have to do this. You should just continue on living normally, as a mortal," I put extra emphasis on mortal, while glaring at Artemis.

"Perseus, it's fine. I want to become a Hunter," Claire said. "I'm sick of being tormented, and I want to do something exciting for once in my life." She a gave me a puppy-dog stare, with those gorgeous eyes.

"Just so you know, Hunters can still die if they are killed in battle. And the Hunters do a lot of battling" I told her.

"It's fine," she put a gentle hand on my cheek, "I can do this."

She turned to Artemis, and said her oaths. Claire was now Hunter.

Claire had stolen my heart. Now she was being stolen by Artemis.

I didn't think I would love for a long time after Annabeth. I was wrong. I think I fell in love with Claire Lucien. Aphrodite would either be proud or dissapointed.

I was rather troubled by the recent events, so I kept wandering the forest. Hopefully the fresh air would clear my thoughts. It didn't work. I decided to talk to Aphrodite

"You want me to erase your feelings?" Aphrodite asked, rather surprised.

"Not all of 'em. Just my feelings for Claire. She became a Hunter, and I would rather not make Artemis angry. I have enough enemies without her"

Aphrodite seemed lost in thought for a couple seconds. Then she put an evil smile on her face. I feared for my godly life like never before, and I would have ran, had Aphrodite not grabbed my head. She stared into my eyes, and before I blacked out, she said, "You'll thank me later."
