The Hunter

When Percy awoke, it was dark outside. He looked around, then grunted in pain from a splitting headache. He was in the middle of a camp, surrounded by silver tents. SOmeone was standing over him, placing a cool damp cloth over his head.
“Rest Percy. Your powers are strong, but they drain you.” The figure said. Percy recognized her voice. It was Artemis.
“Wha-What happened? Is everyone OK?” He asked.
“Nobody was killed, thanks to you. The hunters got me out of the net right after you disappeared. What happened with you? I saw you fighting one of them, and then you fell. And then you and her were gone”
“I’m not quite sure. But she’ll be back. All of them will. I don’t know when, but I’m sure of it.
With more troops and probably some sort of siege equipment. My gut says that. My brain says that they’ll be too scared to come back, but they must be a part of something bigger. This reminds me of the Triumvirate that Apollo and Leo and Calypso had to deal with, only less modern.”
Artemis nodded. She seemed to be in deep thought. Percy understood and decided he might as well make himself useful. He climbed out of bed, but fell. Cursing, he pulled himself back up, only to find he couldn’t reach the bed. He looked up. The bed was gone. So was Artemis and the camp.
A figure floated down towards him, surrounded in green mist. He- no, shelanded silently. It spoke:
I am the original Oracle of Delphi…
You seek what death has…
I can guide you, but it has a cost…
If you wish for a prophecy, swear thus…
‘I, Percy Jackson, swear to fulfill the destiny this oracle has granted me…
I will do as I am to do, and with no question’
Percy stared at the figure.
“First question: what the fuck? Is it April fools or something? Second question: Why do I need your prophecy? I know exactly where I’m going.”
Do you? Do you really…?
The figure waved its arm, and an image appeared in the mist. It showed a huge castle made from shadows, with the kind of soldiers he had fought on the walls. There was a great army laid out before it; with Percy at the lead. Mist-Percy shouted a battle-cry and charged the walls, his army following behind. Arrows flew from both armies, soldiers falling and being trampled by the troops behind. The gates split, and another army charged Mist-Percy’s lines. Mist-Percy gave a shout, that was cut off by a sword jabbing through his gut. Another one struck. Sword blow after sword blow rained down on Mist-Percy until he resembled something a cat had killed. Mist-Percy’s lines broke, and the legion fell.
The image disappeared. Percy fell to his knees, gasping for breath. His hand was over the spot in his chest where Mist-Percy had been stabbed. He looked up at the oracle, and said two words.
“Show me”
