The Owls daughter
The prophecy
Ephebe's POV:
I was walking along the lake when a girl with fluffy red hair came up to me. “Oh hi,” she greeted “I heard about you. Your names Ephebe right?” I nodded “My name is Rach-” suddenly the girl fell over coughing. When I came down to help her green smoke exploded out of her mouth. She started speaking in a raspy voice.
“Eight will go far and beyond to destroy what was together.
One with the peace of fire.
One with the aim of a lyre.
One with a blacksmith father.
One owl’s daughter.
One with victory.
Two that have crossed the sea.
And one eternal maiden.
With her heart shaven.”
The smoke drifted into the air and the girl got up. I looked at her freaked out. She looked back at me. “ Oh poop. Did I just say a prophesy?”
“Uh yeah.”
“ Well, I better get you back to the big house. Luckily their having a council meeting today.”the girl sang.
“ I demand taco Tuesday’s for the cafeteria! It can be every other week!”a boy said as we walked in the big house.
“ I second that!” Rach agreed .(Well I think that's her name.)
“ Oh hello Rachel. What’s up?” Chiron asked.
“ Oh you know I just made some random person's future happen.”
“ Tell me!” Chiron yelled.
“ Eight will go far and beyond to destroy what was together,” I repeated. “One with the peace of fire. One with the aim of a lyre. One with a blacksmith father. One owl’s daughter. One with victory. Two that have crossed the sea. And one eternal maiden. With her heart shaven.”
“Huh. Well the first part is a mystery but the one with the peace of fire is Zika. The second part could be Hermes. Wait no it’s Apollo. The next one is Hephaestus and after that is Athena. Then Nike. After that is a mystery but the next one is one of Artemis's hunters.”
“ For the two that have crossed the sea are Percy and Annabeth. It’s not any sea. It’s the sea of monsters. I can feel it.”I chirped.
“ Well if the prophecy was told to you then you pick.”
“ Okay then. Zika, Fitch, Liam, Dixon, Percy, Annabeth, I know that I haven’t been claimed by Athena yet but I know that’s me and then one of Artemis’s hunters that has had some type of heart disease or has had heart surgery.”
“The hunters are coming next week which will give us time to prepare.”
“Great.”
Fitch's POV:
My first mission! And it’s with Ephebe… And my other friends! And Ephebe! Okay I can’t say that I don't have a crush on Ephebe but it’s not big. ( Well it's not big right now.) I just think that she's kinda cute. She not to nerdy but she's smart and I can tell she's going to be a great fighter. I could never ask her out though. She beat me in a archery contest! That's a well made lady if she can take down the Fitch-mister.
