Percy Jackson and the Creator: The Death Game

Chapter 1: The Chase

Percy’s lungs were burning. Of course, they had a good reason to be burning.
He had been chasing a man who was carrying some sort of pathogen that had been created by a minor god. Nobody knew for sure who the God was. The council suspected either Hades or Erebus, the god of darkness. Erebus threatened the council when he visited a while back to ask for a council seat. You can guess how that went.
Percy knew the man was going to try and toss the pathogen into the water system, and based on the path he was taking he was heading straight for Times Square. If he dropped it in the drains there then it would spread, all over the city. Percy couldn’t let that happen.
He poured on the speed.
Percy could see Times Square ahead of the man. Confronting him in the middle of the square wasn’t the ideal situation. Up ahead of the man Percy could see a fire hydrant on the curb. On the left was an alley.
Percy stuck out his hand. He felt the tug in his gut and as the man passed the fire hydrant water shot out and blasted him into the alley.
Percy closed on the alley entrance and willed the water to form a trident. He stepped into the alley. The man threw himself onto his feet. He pulled out two knives.
Percy threw the water trident. It collided with the man and through him against the wall.
Percy ran forward. The man slashed at him. Percy ducked and body slammed him.
Percy clambered to rip the bag off his shoulders. Percy felt a sharp pain in his side. He had been stabbed.
Percy pulled with all his might. The bag gave way and Percy rolled away.
The man jumped up and so did Percy.
The pain was getting worse. He could feel the blood rolling down his side and onto his leg.
The world started to dim around him.
“Percy Jackson. I was wondering if I would have the pleasure of meeting you.” The man said coming forward.
Percy tried to step away but pain flared up his body nd he collapsed against the wall. He slid onto his butt.
The man knelt in front of Percy. “I would kill you now if only you weren’t part of the bigger picture. You better call your friends before I release the pathogen. You aren’t supposed to die that way either. Catch you later Percy.”
The man grabbed the bag and was gone.
Percy touched his ear piece. “Zoe.”
Her voice crackled back in his ear, “Percy, thank the gods. Where are you?”
Percy’s eyes got heavy.
“…Need help.” Is all Percy could manage before he gave in to the darkness.

Notes

Wow, 2 years and one failed attempt later I am finally uploading this. After the success of the first part of this trilogy (which I never expected) I really couldn't believe it. I immediately began working on a sequel but it didn't pan out. So I trashed it an began working on other projects. This second part is made up of a bunch of other projects morphed together to form this second part.
I am currently working on the third and last part of this trilogy. Response to this part is what determines if the third part happens.
Thank you all for your support!
love you all
