Darkness

I sat there on top of my dumpster, my eyes closing slowly as I waited till I was curled up on the bin. Asleep at last,but it wasn’t long but that doesn’t matter. I woke up to someone poking the top of my head. I open my eyes to see Ashe looking at me. Leave me to sleep. I said trying to go back to sleep. I could feel him staring at me. Screw you! I said sitting up. About time. Nio said as I jumped down to his side then saw the ring. Something inside me surfaced, someone else's memory surface of whoever’s eyes I was look threw:

But that’s yours? A young boy said.

Trust me. The person said kissing a young boys as that ring was slipped into his hand and folded his little fingers around it.

I blinked back, to Nico looking at me then Ashe snapped his finger in front of my face. I grabbed his wrist and looked at him. He chuckled nervously and said welcome back,to reality! I pulled him close to me and said do that again, I’ll break your wrist! I hissed. Ok, um can you let go of my wrist!? He said so I did. I started forward, It was sunny but slowly clouds came in. I slowly watched them. Oh,come on how come everywhere we go it’s raining or cloudy?! Ashe said as I smirked at him. Someone up there doesn’t like little Corvo Angelo Nero. Who?! He said. I sighed and said that’s my really name, idiot, corvo means Raven in Italian! I said! Oh, but what about the Angelo part. My last name is Angelo Nero meaning black angel. I said. Is that why you hate Nico? He said. I don’t hate Nico, It was just lack of sleep. I said looking around the entrance of the alley. There’s monsters at both detration. Uck, we’re surround. I said looking around. That’s when I saw a fire escape above Nico’s head . That’s it, Nico give me a boost or move! I said. He sighed and was about to but I jumped up on his shoulders, grabbing the lower rung and pulled it down as I climbed a half bird, half girl attacked me. I tried to fight while trying to hold on finally I couldn’t hold anymore and I fell. I landed on Ashe and immediately I jumped up and ran with them behind. I didn’t stop till the two headed dog, I gave nickname Due AKA two in italian. We’ve been at it for a long time…. since I was five, back off! I looked at the ugly beasts around me. The woman- bird thing sticked. She was about to attack me but I zipped away out of her reach, even pushing the boys out of her way. AHHHHHH! The monstausty fly screeched as she ran intoher sisters who also went for the attack. Idiots! I said, chuckling as Due put their large paw on me. Ok,I got cocky.I shouted as I filcked my wrist and black flames appeared in my hand, then threw it. Due gave the louds yip in the world, as they got away. That’s new?! Ashe said. Yeah. I said as the other monsters started to pace trying to figure out what to do. I walked to them, Nico holding a black sword in his hand, he had took out some of group but they had replacements. My eyes watched the monsters, you must be stronger here, like a lot! Ashes said. No kidden, Ashes wonder what else is up my sleeve that I didn’t know about. I said flipping my wrist again, as the beasts attacked. Shadows around us lept and seem to surround the beasts and they bursted into golden dust! What just happen?! I said. Nico stared at me, then snapped out it then said you just killed all those monsters using shadows. What?! I can do that this whole time?! I said half pounded that I could have done that this whole time as we continued down the sidewalk. You have a lot to learn. He said. Du, I’m new to this! I said. Do you have to use….? Ashes said as I fell against him. We almost fell but he caught a nearby rail then leaned me against it. What happen? He said. I feel dizzy and tired. I said. That’s because you used your powers or whatever relates you to your father. Nico said. Ha,he can burn in hell for all I care. I said.You don’t mean that do you? Ashe said. He left my mother six months pregnant with me and he never returned so yes, I hate him! I said.Um, maybe we should keep go at a fast pace….. um,Raven can…? Ashe said, I glared then sighed and weakly walked to the edge of the sidewalk and held up my hand, trying to hold myself up. One pulled up in front of me, the driver had his rolled down so we stared at each other . Corvo? He said.Roberto? I said plainly but confusion mixed in (if that makes sense) . Cosa stai facendo qui? He said, translation what are you doing here? I miei amici e io devo andare da qualche parte.I said, translation My friends and I need to go somewhere. Oh, dove andare? He said (where too?). Where too? I said. Um. Ashe said as Nico came to my side handing Roberto a piece of paper. He looked at it and looked at him like he’s crazy. Fallo e basta, Roberto. I said (just do it). I have a question? Ashe said. What now, Ashe? I said. You just know a cab driver in New York city!? He said. He’s my cousin…. Wait Roberto posso avere uno sconto per famiglie? I said (Translation I ask for a family discount). Let me guess a free one, Corvo? He said. Maybe. I said. He sighed, corvo, I need money for college to become a doctor. He said. He said, I froned and gave him what I had, which wasn’t even enough for food never mind a ride. Really, Corvo? He said counting it. I’ll figure out the rest and pay you for whatever you want. I said. You promise? He said. Trust me, you're mom won’t let me forget! I knew you'd say that, now get in. He said. You better be nice with the price! I said as I slipped in the passenger. You're pushing it! He said. You're mean, Robbie! I said slipping into the back, on the other side of Ashe.Amore duro, caro cugino. . He said. Jerk. I said as he chuckled. Um, translation! Ashe said. Tough love, dear cousin. I said folding my arms. Um, Corvo do bad things still happen to you? He said. You mean the monsters?! I said. I thought you would’ve grew out of that, no monsters attack you Corvo! He said. Whatever you say, but….. Can you speed up! Nico said cutting me off. Robbie did and said what’s wrong?! Don’t ask just do it! Nico said. I’m confuse, Corvo. He said as I looked back…. Due returned. Please speed up, Reberto! I said.Alright, alright. He said and did so. We zipped thru traffic. Due was looking for me but could pin down where I was exactly. I flipped my wrist and something I didn’t expect happen black lightning came from the sky and hit Due, turning them into golden dust. Was that lightning?! Roberto said. No clue, Roberto just drive. I said my head against Ashe’s shoulder. Tired, Corvo? Roberto said. Maybe. I said. Raven, why do you go by Raven instead of Corvo? Ashe said. Because american are low minded and would say it wrong on purpose till finally I stood up in class and told them to just call me Raven that’s just how it stayed.I said as we drove down the road and I finally got over a minute nap.
