The Tale of Alexandra Orlova

Chapter 2

Alexandra was so shocked that she had to read the sign at least three times, just to be sure. "Why? Why of all freaking places, must it be here?" she cussed and kicked the ground but then realized she was supporting herself on a cane, so she decided to stop that. "You got to be kidding me...", but, as the Fates would have it, what was down in the valley was truly Camp Half-blood. There were all the cabins that formed the rectangle shape, the big forest, the strawberry fields that smelled in the summer air, and the infamous blue and white Big House. "I am not going there" Alexandra thought, "He's there... I need a different option..."
Alexandra looked to the left in the distance and saw New York, she was frustrated when she realized how far it was, "I will never make it there without being attacked or faint". She looked towards Camp Half-blood again, "I could ask them to take me to the city, or I could steal a vehicle" Alexandra thought as she looked at the white vans parked at the bottom of a hill that had a pine tree with a dragon coiled around it. Dragons are hard to fight but are easy to go around of, just as long as you don't try to steal their stuff, but either way, it was wrong to steal, "As attractive as that option may seem, these people did nothing to me to deserve that, and it's not fair to them because the whole reason you would be doing that is to avoid only one person..."

She sighed, she closed her eyes and stayed like that for a bit. It was a way for her to collect her thoughts until a voice, a weirdly comforting voice, like a parent towards his child, it filled her up with warmth and comfort as it said "Go. You have nothing to worry about. He doesn't remember you." After it had said those words, Alexandra opened her eyes, sort of dazed, and looked down again towards the big camp. "I do need help urgently... There is no way I will make it to the city on my own and I am not going to steal from people who haven't given me a reason to."

Again, she sighed, looked up towards the sun as it was setting, making the clouds pink and violet and the sky azure. With the sound of the waves at the beach, it was really relaxing, "Like a vacation." Alexandra thought, "I need a vacation."
And with that thought, Alexandra started going slowly down the hill. It was a bit challenging, what with the cane and her half working, half-awake legs. It was a bit like going down a mountain on high heels, not impossible but hard, crazy, and outright stupid.
As she reached the bottom of the hill, Alexandra saw the Big House and decided to head towards it. As she was getting closer, she noticed two people sitting on the front porch, and they seemed to be playing a game on a table. The man sitting on the right was in a wheelchair, he had black curly hair, a well-trimmed beard, glasses, and a kindly look on his face. He looked like a scholar in his brown tweed suit. The man on the left seemed to be the complete opposite of his comrade.

The man on the left had a red face and an even redder nose, he also had black hair but a bit greasy, like one of those wannabe mafias. He also had a look that was stuck between a bit drunk and just simply crazy... He looked like he had partied a bit too much for his health. His clothes were also a bit (by a bit, I mean really) crazy and loud. He wore a very loud leopard print shirt and also a very haughty purple (if purple can be haughty) pair of pants, plus he wore dark purple socks in leather sandals (seriously?).

As the girl approached the Big House, she was surprised that no one seemed to notice her and her cane. The Mist must be working, otherwise by now she would have been approached by someone or something.

Alexandra had a very unique and weird look (in her opinion). She had deep, deep black hair that just couldn't decide if it was straight, wavy, or curly, as if it couldn't decide if it was Roman or Greek, and her very white skin that no matter how long she stood in the sun, only the nose got a tan, and her eyes. Her eyes were very weird. Her left eye was a forest green and her right eye was an icy blue.

Her eyes always freaked people out because they couldn't look into her eyes without getting dizzy or confused, at times, it even scared them.
That's why Alexandra was a very popular candidate for questioning traitors or escaped souls, if they had something to confess, they always did.
Alexandra stopped all of a sudden. She looked to the left. On the left there were all the major cabins of the major male gods. First in line was the Zeus cabin, next was the Poseidon cabin, and on the right of the Poseidon cabin... the Hades cabin.
Alexandra froze. She kept looking at the Hades cabin. Her senses may be half-awake, but when they saw the cabin, altogether they yelled "Danger!". Alexandra had nothing against Hades, she worked for the guy. It was what was inside the cabin that made her freeze in terror and shock.

She had avoided him for so long, and yet, here he was, so close.
All of a sudden, a bunch of thoughts were racing around in her head. "What if he got his memories back? What if he blames me? What is he going to do to me?"
Alexandra's train of thoughts was stopped when one of the men of the front porch yelled out "Hey!". Alexandra turned her head fast and looked at the speaker, it was the weird man with the leopard shirt and the socks in sandals.
But just as she was going to respond, she heard a door open to her left. Alexandra didn't want to look, but she looked anyway.
Unfortunately, the door that was opening was the door from the Hades cabin, and someone was coming out from there.

Alexandra felt her heart beating faster, she became dizzy, and her head swam. The man on the porch yelled something but she couldn't hear him. There were people who had noticed the yelling and were looking at her. Some people also yelled at her. Alexandra couldn't hear anything at that moment as the figure from the Hades cabin was coming out.
She can see jeans-clad legs come out and then a waist with a sword strapped to the belt, then the chest with a black t-shirt, then the... the face.
The Mist shattered, Alexandra fell to the ground. The last thing she saw was people running towards her, yelling and everything faded to black.
