A Legacy to Remember

Chapter 1: The Day that Started it All

You know, when you wake up in a hospital room, you don't expect people hovering over you saying that you're "the next one" or whatever. You REALLY don't expect a hot guy taking care of your injuries. You definitely don't expect someone telling a 30-something-year-old man about you.
But hey, what can you do?
Don't do what I did, which was launch myself out of my bed and attack the nearest person. It'll end with you being restrained by two 16-year-old boys and a 15-year-old blondie injecting you with a sedative. Not fun.
So just like that, I got the reputation of being the one who may end up trying to claw your eyes out if you look at me wrong.
Anyways, when I finally woke up, it was a whirlwind of getting me out of the infirmary and putting me through orientation. I didn't really pay attention to the video. What really got my attention was a picture hanging on a cork board nearby. In the picture was a boy with messy black hair and sea green eyes with his arms wrapped around a girl with curly blonde hair and grey eyes. Both of them were smiling. The boy seemed so familiar, but I couldn't quite place it. The picture seemed pretty old.
"Ah, you've found a picture of Percy and Annabeth Jackson when they were teenagers."
I turned on my heels to see an older looking man in a wheelchair. He had greying hair, a bushy beard, and eyes that held weariness to them.
I shrugged, looking over the picture. "I was intrigued by the photo." I lightly ran a finger over Percy Jackson. "This guy seems familiar to me."
"Ah, perhaps it's because you look similar to Percy." The man guessed. "You have his eyes. The Poseidon eyes."
"Hmm..." I backed away. "Well, in any case, I would like to get my own room. Or maybe even find some food."
"Of course Miss Prada. Let's get you settled into camp."
I followed the man out of the house. The grounds were so big. There were so many cabins too. Looks like the gods couldn't just stay on their little mountain.
"Here we are, Cabin 11. Hermes."
I glanced at the Cabin. A staff that had two snakes wrapping around it was depicted on the front of the cabin. I shrugged as i walked inside.
Everyone in the cabin looked up, staring at me with wide eyes. What was their problem? "Hey, is there a place for me to stay for now?"
No one moved. No one said a thing. They all stared at me. "Excuse me? Whos in charge here?"
A girl i recognized stood up. My eyes widened, "Sarahlyn?"
"what's up cous?" Sarahlyn asked. "I'm the Hermes Cabin head counselor."
My jaw dropped. "You're-"
"Yeah, turns out the god of messenger and thieves is my old man."
"Dang Sar."
"Oh yeah."
I shook my head. Nothing made sense anymore.
That was only the beginning.
