CHAPTER X

It felt good to be back in the mortal world with my friends. We were back aboard the Argo II, enjoying lunch with a Titan. Bob decided that he would go back to the Underworld after lunch. Meanwhile, we had another problem at hand. Reyna was here,having lunch with us. She had gotten Annabeth's message. She was here to take the Athena Parthenos to Camp Half-Blood. After lunch, we sat around and decided how to transport the statue across the ocean. We couldn't fly back to America on the Argo II, not when we were so close to the Giants' base in Athens. Eventually, Nico said he would use shadow travel to get it to camp. Reyna and Hedge were going with him, to protect both him and the statue after each jump. After they left, we set course for Athens. While we knew that the Giants were in Athens, we had no idea how to find them. Athens had several monuments that could be suited for a hideout. Annabeth said that our best bet was the Parthenon. So Leo set course for the Parthenon, and we all called it a night. I had a somewhat weird dream. I was in the throne room of the gods. The only god I saw was my father."Hello, Percy. Nice to see you again" he said."Hey, dad. What are you doing here?", I asked him."I am here to discuss your quest. As for why I am in the throne room, If you had a dream in the void, it would tear your mind apart. Now, on to your quest. Your woman is right. The Giants are holed up under the Parthenon. So you must enter through the pedestal of the Athena Parthenos. Do you remember what Clytius said to you?"."Yes", I said."Well, you shall be tested in Athens. Do you know what your fatal flaw is?",Chaos asked."Yes. Athena told me. It's that i'm too trusting of people.", I said."In Athens, your fatal flaw shall be tested. I hope you are ready my son. Now, wake up. You have reached the Parthenon.". And with that, I woke up with Annabeth at my room door, saying "Wake up, Seaweed Brain. We're here".
