CHAPTER XI

I woke up, got dressed, then went over to the mess hall to grab myself a bagel. When I got there, I saw Jason eating a hamburger.."Morning,man", I said to him as I went to get my bagel. He nodded his head in acknowledgement(his mouth was full), then went back to devouring his sandwich. I felt a little sorry for the sandwich with the way he tore into it. I grabbed my bagel, then dug through the cooler and grabbed a little package of cream cheese. I uncapped Riptide, opened the cream cheese, then, using the tip of my sword, I spread the cream cheese over my bagel. Your probably thinking that's dirty, but I regularly clean my sword. The bagel was literally at my lips when Leo barged into the room yelling,"Hurry up bums, we're almost at the Parthenon!". Jason shoved the last piece of his sandwich into his mouth and followed Leo to the top deck. I took my bagel with me, since I was still hungry. When I was on the top deck, I was too mesmerized by the beauty of Athens, that I temporarily forget about my bagel. Then my stomach growled, and I lifted the bagel with cream cheese to my mouth. I almost, ALMOST, got the bagel into my mouth, when Frank walked past and said"Morning, Percy". I stopped and said hi, then went back to my bagel. Then Annabeth said good morning, then Hazel, and then Piper. I was seriously getting annoyed now. That was when Leo ran up to me. He said,"This is no time to be eating a bagel, Percy!". With that, he smacked my bagel out of my my hand, and into the ocean below. Then, out of pure anger, I clapped Leo on both ears so hard, he went deaf for a few minutes. I then went back to the mess hall to get another bagel.
