The Son of Chaos

The perfect chance to subdue Kronos came in a heartbeat. He slowed time to attack me, so I waited, accelerated, and while he was off balance, I injected the syringe full of liquid ambrosia into his neck. The effect was immediate. Kronos fell to his knees and roared in pain. "I've been told that hurts", I said to the Titan Lord. He turned, gave me a look filled with murderous intent, and tried to grab for his scythe. I swiftly kicked him in the face as hard as I could. I then continued to summon syringes of liquid ambrosia, and continually injected Kronos with every single one of them. When I was done, the Titan Lord was writhing on the floor, looking like he wished he could die. I then turned to help my friends defeat the Giants. I cloned myself one time for every Giant, excluding Porphyrion, then me and my clones went to work. After about five minutes, every Giant in the room, again excluding Porphyrion, was reduced to dust. Everyone was exhausted. "Thanks, Percy", said Annabeth. The others tried to thank me but were too exhausted to do much. Piper used her cornucopia to give everyone some ambrosia, and Frank handed out bottles of nectar from his backpack that somehow wasn't damaged from the battle. We recovered a fast as the godly food would let us, then turned to face the only remaining Giant, Porphyrion. " That was indeed a wonderful battle, demigods. However, that is not enough to stop me. You see, as you demigods were battling, you were injured. Look around and tell me what you see", Porphyrion said. We did as he said, and upon inspection of the room, we found that we had shed much blood. "Oh good lord",Frank said. " It seems you finally understand your foolishness. We now have the blood of one male and one female demigod. Gaea shall be awoken, and you puny mortals will be powerless to stop it", Porphyrion said. Me and Leo had the same idea: hurl fireballs at the patches of blood to burn them away. We summoned fire in our hand, but water nymphs came out of nowhere and put out the flames. These nymphs' eyes were glazed over, as if they were hypnotized. We kept trying, but the nymphs kept putting out the fire. I was getting frustrated, but I didn't want to hurt the nymphs. So we gave up. I instead tried to levitate the rocks that had blood on them, but it seemed that while we were preoccupied with the nymphs, some other minions of Porphyrion had come to collect the blood, since it was all gone. We were all terrified of what would soon happen. So, I teleported everyone to the Argo II, Leo started the engines, and we flew away from Athens for a few hours. We stopped when we were far enough away to not worry about being chased anymore, and it was night time. We met in the dining room. "So, what do we do?", Leo asked after several minutes of silence. "There's not much we can do", Hazel replied. "No. There has to be something we can do", Annabeth said. "I think Annabeth's right. Maybe we could try sneaking back in, find the blood, and destroy it", said Jason. I was deadly quiet during the conversation, thinking about all the possible outcomes. There were not many. If we went after the blood we would :a) die, b) retrieve it, or c) fail. If we didn't go, then Gaea would be awakened. Of course, the obvious choice would be to go for the blood, but Porphyrion probably has it hidden somewhere we would never find. "I think," I said, "we should wait for Porphyrion to start the awakening ritual". The room turned deadly silent at my suggestion. "Percy, why would we do something like that?", Annabeth asked. "Well, while he's doing the ritual, he'll be distracted, so we can interrupt him and mess up the whole thing. Plus, we need to wait for the help of the God's. We can't go against Porphyrion without them", I stated. Everyone was silent in agreement, although they probably didn't want to. So, I got up and left to give them time to talk it over with each other. I went to go get some sleep. That night, I had a dream that left me shaken up when I woke up.
