I felt a cold breeze as I pushed open the large double doors. I look around. It looks almost like a regular office, with a desk, filing cabinets
, and those spinny chairs. The only difference was that the room was about ten times bigger than a regular office. There is someone sitting in he chair. It is a large person in a dark blue suit. He has a black tie and his hair is combed back. I recognize him immediately. It is my father."Hi, Dad" I say. My voice is barely audible in the vast room."Hello, Perseus. Welcome to my palace. I have been expecting you for some time. It's nice to see you again" he said in a booming voice. Chaos shrunk down to my size."So, I heard that Gaia is rising in the mortal world. Is this true?" he asked. I nodded,too scared to say anything."That daughter of mine, she always wanted more power. She convinced her son Kronos to kill her own husband, you know. Next thing you know she'll try coming after me to assume the role as ruler of the universe. So what are you doing in Tartarus, Percy?"."Annabeth and I are trying to reach the doors of death. We needed the death mist to sneak past all the monsters guarding it. But it won't work on me" I said."It doesn't work because you are my son" Chaos said,"You don't need the death mist. As my son, you are so powerful that monsters do their best to stay away from you. Only foolish immortals, such as Titans and Giants, would seek to fight you. And if your wondering why all those monsters attacked you before, it's because you didn't know who you were. And the monsters in Tartarus are so worried about reaching the Doors of Death that they don't even bother trying to get your scent. Monsters know who your godly parents are by your smell,you know. And there is something I must teach you"."What is it?" I asked. If it was coming from my father, it had to be important. "I am going to teach you how to kill a god" Chaos said.
