CHAPTER XXI
Being in the middle of an army of monsters was not on my top 10 list of situations I want to be in. Looking around, it seemed that there weren't as many monsters as i thought. Then I realized that the monsters were all moving away from me. I was scaring them off! It was awesome."Percy, what's going on?", Annabeth asked."I think that the monsters are scared of me.", I said. That's when I started to push it. I saw the Doors of Death about 100 meters away. I said,"Come on, follow me.". I started walking towards the Doors. The monsters seemed to know that we were heading to the Doors, because an entire wave of them charged us. Annabeth screamed. Bob got out his broom-spear and yelled"SWEEEP!!!!". He charged and was immediately swarmed by monsters. Bob disappeared from sight, leaving me and Annabeth alone. I uncapped Riptide and charged it with lightning. When I swung my sword, thousands of tendrils of electricity killed hundreds of monsters. I kept cutting down hordes of monsters, with Annabeth close behind. She killed any stragglers with her bone sword, a gift from Damasen the giant. I heard Bob let out a war-cry. When I looked over to where he was, he charged a group of Laistrygonian giants. I was tiring from this quickly. I thought about what I could do to disintegrate all these monsters. Then I got a stupid idea that probably wouldn't work. I closed my eyes and imagined that all the monsters would die. When I opened them, all the monsters were gone. The only thing i saw was a suprised looking Annabeth, and Bob still swinging his spear. I was about to relax when I heard a loud voice yell,"I FOUND YOU, SON OF THE SEA GOD!!!!!".
