Porphyrion the Giant King
CHAPTER IX
I kept slashing at Porphyrion, but the Giant king just was not having it. He continued walking to the Doors of Death, which were now about a hundred feet away. I know your thinking "Why didn't you call Bob". The thing is, I already called on Bob for help, but he was busy healing Annabeth's wounds. I had to kill a Giant King by myself. I knew that I was powerful enough to control monsters, but only my dad could control other immortals. He said that he would teach me when I was twenty, but that's in two years, and right now I didn't even have two minutes. Porphyrion was closing in on the Doors quickly, and I was tiring myself out, hopelessly slashing at his head and stabbing him in the chest repeatedly. I had to think quickly, since Porphyrion was literally right in front of the Doors."A futile attempt, son of Chaos, but not even you could kill me without a god. And I am so powerful, only Zeus could kill me with a demigod's help. You fight well, Percy Jackson, but I have won." And with that motivating speech, Porphyrion stepped through the Doors of Death and was transported to the mortal world. Afterward, me Bob and Annabeth sprinted toward the Doors in an effort to reach Porphyrion. We ran through and were all transported to the House of Hades. I found Hazel and Hecate fighting a Giant who I never saw before, but I knew he was Clytius, the Anti-Hecate. Leo was standing back, like someone told him not to get in the way. Then, things got crazy. Frank, Jason, Piper, and Nico all burst through a tunnel to the left. As soon as they barged in, Hazel yelled at them"HELP!!". The four of them went to work on the Giant, and before I knew it, he started to dissolve."This is only a temporary setback, demigods. My brother Porphyrion is already in Athens, performing rituals to summon my Giant brethren. As for you, Percy Jackson, you will face your greatest challenge yet in Athens. Be prepared, son of Chaos." Clytius said with a disembodied voice. Then he dissolved into dust. All of my friends looked at me like they saw a ghost. Then they looked at Bob and raised their weapons before I said, "Stop! This is Bob. He helped me and Annabeth through Tartarus". The others looked skeptical, but they lowered their weapons. Then the roof
exploded and we saw the Argo II, Leo's flying ship, piloted by Coach Hedge."Come on cupcakes, what are you waiting for!? You got a guest!" Hedge screamed. The visitor walked over to the edge and looked down at us. It was Reyna, and it looked like she had bad news.
