Months After
Thank me, child!
Annabeth nearly ripped Mr. D.'s head off. If I hadn't held her back, she would be trying to stab him multiple times in the head with her dagger.
"What the Hades!" She yelled at him.
"Annabeth, dear," He said. "I just saved your child's life!" That made no sense. He just said that the baby should parish.
"Well, i'm about to save it's life." Mr. D. turned his head towards the God's.
"I said I believe the baby should parish. That's what I would want." He smiled. "But, we can't eliminate a child that can't die."
Where was he going with this?
Dionysus rubbed his hands together. "Now, if Annabeth has the child in around... 8, 9 months, it'll be easy to take out the child. But, as time progresses, the God's ability to just... Smite the baby starts to secede. Until!" He yelled, holding his finger up. "The child reaches an age where it can not be destroyed without killing the host as well."
He eyed Annabeth.
"I will make it so you, the God's can't kill the baby."
Zeus's eyes sparked. "You think we will not just kill Annabeth? Or just kill the baby now?" He roared.
Mr. D. patted my head. "Oh, if only Athena wasn't your daughter."
The entire room looked at Athena.
"What?" She asked.
"Do you think your daughter will just let you kill her favorite daughter?" He asked, with a smile so big, it started to creep me out.
Athena eyed Zeus. "It is true. You will not kill my daughter. Never. Not Annabeth."
Holy Hera.
"If I... speed up the process," He said, motioning to himself. "I can buy the baby some time... and even maybe change a few minds. Do you mind if I do what I must to keep this baby alive?"
Annabeth and I looked at each other.
In unison, we said "Yes."
Mr. D. Smiled. "It shall be done!"
Zeus stroked his beard. "Dionysus, what do you plan on-" He was cut off from a flash of light. When it receded, Zeus was in awe, as well as the rest of the god's. I looked at Annabeth.
She had a huge stomach.
Annabeth held her waist, and gasped.
"What did you do?" Bella asked.
Mr. D. shrugged. "I sped up the aging process for the child. It's now around eight-to-nine months. Be prepared, you might go in to labor before we decide." He winked at us.
Mr. D. just saved my child's life... in the most weird way.
