Months After
Details, man!
Great. A week of school, and we already have two project's to do, and multiple assignments. If I didn't have Annabeth, I would never be able to finish it all.
Right now, I was in history, which had almost all of my friends in it. There was Jake, Brennan, Dianna, Annabeth, Leo, and some other kids.
Best class of the day.
Mr. Johnson was probably the best teacher ever. As long as you didn't talk too loud, he wouldn't mind if you worked on a test together.
So, guess what I was doing?
"OK, i'm going to ask her out." Jake said, a bit nervous .
Brennan clapped him on the back. "That's my man!"
"Please, she is so out of your league ." Dianna chuckled in the seat in front of mine.
Annabeth rolled her eyes, trying to focus on the assignment.
"Dude, ask her out already." Brennan pointed behind me.
"Ask who out?" A voice said softly. I turned around and saw perfectly straight black hair, warm brown eyes staring at me intently.
"Just ask Bella, man."
She must have thought I wanted to ask her out, because she said "You.. You really want to..." Her voice trailed off, looking at me with amazingly still eyes.
"Yeah, um... Would you like to go out sometime?" Jake said, not to confidently.
She frowned, her gaze looking from me to Jake. But she still blushed.
"First time someone asked me that..." She mumbled to herself, and I was the only one who could hear her.
"Yes, I would love to." She smiled.
After class, Bella came up to me as I went to my locker and started to put things away, her grape scent filling the hallway.
"Hey, I never got your name." She leaned against the locker next to mine.
"Um, Percy. Percy Jackson." I awkwardly stated.
Did she like me?
She had a look of doubt, but then stated "We should get to know each other more! Are you free anytime soon? NOT a date. Just to hang out?" she said reassuringly.
Good. I thought she liked me too much for a second.
"Yeah, That'd be fun. I'll see you at lunch?" I said closing my locker.
"See you then." She said, walking off.
I started walking to my next class, eager to learn about my new friend.
At lunch, I sat down at an empty table, and Annabeth soon sat down across from me.
"Hey, Percy! I was wondering if-" She was cut off when Bella dropped her tray next to Annabeth, and yelled "Hey!" She opened up a coke bottle she had in her bag, and started to chug it.
Annabeth rolled her eyes, eating her bread.
"Hey, Bella." I said with a mouth full of pizza.
Grover joined as a bit later.
It turns out that Bella is in all of my classes, and she is on the swim team. Sweet! She lives about three houses down from me, and her favorite color is blue. We are going to get along well.
On my way to drop Annabeth off at her house, we were both silent, but it was a nice, not an awkward at all.
Annabeth started to talk when we pulled up to her driveway.
"You do realize that Bella girl has a crush on you, right?"
She raised her eyebrows.
"No, no she doesn't. She said she just wants to be good friends!" I defended.
"No, i mean-"
"Good friends Annabeth. That's all." I kissed her.
"Now you better get going. We are already ten minutes late."
She rolled her eyes, and got out of the car. "Bye seaweed brain."
