The Curse of Immortality
Summary
"What?"
My sandals slapped the floor as I ran in front of Zeus. "The King of Olympus." I know him as Dad.
"Jane, we think godhood is a fitting award."
"I don't want immortality. I'm happy."
He eyebrowed the other gods, who laughed collectively. "Daughter of mine, you are never truly happy until you experience godhood."
"I don't care," I argued. "I don't want immortality."
"There is no other gift we would rather give."
He raised a hand..
"No," I yelled. "STOP!"
