Chapter Two: Percy's POV

I felt really guilty, this was the first time I had lied to Annabeth. I kept telling myself it was for the best. I pulled into the parking lot in front of our house and saw Rachel and Thalia waiting outside. "Right on time.” Thalia said as I got out of the car “did you leave the note?” Rachel asked. “Of course he left the note!” Thalia retorted then she looked at me "You fid leave the note right?” I nodded and unlocked the door, we walked inside. “Thanks so much for helping me.” I said “No problem,” they said in unison, "do you know how long we've been waiting for this.” I went to the closet and pulled out the box that had come this morning, who knew 2 dozen rose petals could be so heavy. "Why white?” Rachel asked “because tier white.” I replied and started a trail to the brick patio. I had chosen to do the proposal there because it was open to the beautiful full moon and stars. After I finished the path I went upstairs to get the ring, a silver band with a blue topaz in the middle and a pearl on each side. I went back down stairs and Rachel and Thalia got in their places. I was nervous but it was a good nervous, I just hoped she'd say yes.
