This is Love

It's been a great day so far. Leo is back and lunch was good. I had blue food. (of course) Hey, don't judge my habits, blue food is DELICIOUS! Anyways, I went to my cabin since I didn't have anything to do right now.

I grabbed my demigod laptop. The Hephaestus cabin made demigod laptops and cell phones that won't attract monsters. Everyone is loving them. I started thinking about something I've been thinking about for awhile. I was almost nineteen and Annabeth is about four months into eighteen. I wondered are we to young to do this? Even though I still wasn't sure, I typed "engagement rings" into the search bar.

A bunch of websites with rings showed up. I started browsing through images of different rings. There were various different colors and styles. Eventually, I found the perfect ring. It was a silver ring with a grey jewel in the middle. The jewel had hints of sea green and gold in it. It was perfect for Annabeth. I saved the image to my laptop and headed to the forges.

I walked in holding my laptop. "Excuse me? Can anyone help me? I need something made," I announced.

"I'll help," a girl named Nyssa replied. "What do you need?" I pulled out my laptop and showed her the picture of the ring.

"Can you make this ring for me? It's....uhhh.... For....Annabeth." I say not wanting to say I wanted to propose. That would be bad if it spread around the whole camp.

"Wow, that's perfect for Annabeth. I'm not working on anything right now so I will gladly make it," Nyssa said.

"Thanks so much! Now, I need to...plan...things."

"Alright," Nyssa shrugged. "Have fun." I walked out of the forges and went to gather everyone. I saw Jason casually walking around so I went up to him.

"Hey Jason? Can you get Piper and come to my cabin?" I ask. "I need to talk to you all. Everyone will come. Don't worry it's not anything bad."

"Sure man. I'll get her right now," Jason said running off to go get Piper.

TIME LAPSE

I had just gathered everyone and was proceeding back to my cabin. When I pushed open the door, I saw Frank, Hazel and Calypso sitting on my bed and Leo and Piper sitting on the floor. Jason was hovering in the air. Why? I don't know.

"Hey everyone, thanks for coming," I say pushing my door shut.

"No problem Percy. So what do you need to talk about? And where's Annabeth?" Piper asks.

"That's what I wanted to talk to you guys about. I'm going to propose to Annabeth. Nyssa is making the ring, and I need your guy's help," I explain.

"Really Percy?" Hazel gushes. "Of course we'll help you!"

"Thanks Hazel. But first I'm going to start by asking her dad-"

"Hold on Percy. Don't you have to ask the godly side for permission to propose," Jason reminds me.

"Oh shist! I forgot about that. Well, I guess I will burn offerings to Athena and try to get her attention in a dream. Hopefully it works," I say feeling down. What if Athena doesn't respect my decision? I decided to put that out of my mind, and I told them the plan.

Just as I was finishing telling them, I assigned their rolls. "Piper, you are in charge of the rose petals. Leo and Jason are in charge of the fireworks. Frank is the apple manager. And Hazel, you use the most to make everyone except me invisible so Annabeth doesn't see you guys. Got it?" Everyone agreed. The plan was starting!

Soon enough, it was time for dinner. I made sure to put olives on my plate to sacrifice to Atena. When it came time to burn offerings to the Gods, I went up and prayed to Athena.

"Oh goddes, please contact me in a dream and take my decisions into consideration," I whispered as I burned the olives.

"Hey seaweed brain," I heard Annabeth behind me. "I need to sleep in my cabin tonight. I have to work on something all night and I will probably fall asleep there," she said.

"Alright. As long as I get extra kisses," I jokingly say as I lean in closer.

"Percy! There's little kids here!" She laughs. We then go to our table, hand in hand.

TIME LAPSE

"Here we go. Time to fall asleep and hope for the best" I thought as I layed in my bed. I don't know how but I managed to fall asleep. I almost immediately say Athena, Ananbeth's mom.

"Athena, ma'mm," I begin.

"No need for that Perseus," she interrupts. "I know what you wish for,"

"Oh, well just please give me a chance. I love your daughter and want to spend the rest of my life with her."

"Perseus, I'm still thinking."

"Just please give me a chance. I know, I'm not your favorite, but please. I will take care of your daughter, I promise," I plead. Athena lets out a deep, heavy sigh.

"I know I'm going to regret saying this, but I give you, Perseus Jackson, permission to marry my daughter Annabeth Chase," she says.

"Thank you! I promise I won't disappoint you!" I say relieved. Athena starts to fade, and the dream ends. I woke up in the morning with a small box on the table near my bed. I saw a note on it that said- You're welcome. ~Nyssa. I opened the box and I swear, my eyes lit up. It was a ring. Perfectly identical to the picture.

Annabeth is going to love it.
