The Multiverse

"WAIT!" I screamed to the bus driver as he started to drive off, but no luck. I stared at the back window of the bus as I saw a small child smile and wave at me. I smiled, turned and walked towards Long Islands water edge. "Just my luck." I mumbled to myself. I sat down on the warm sand and decided relax a bit and stare out into the ocean. I could feel the light ocean breeze hitting my face and I sighed and just listened to the ocean, but that was when I heard it, a girls cry and the sounds of clashing metal. I got up and ran as fast as I could towards the sound.

Oh yeh, I might have forgotten to tell you, when I run, I run fast. I am not talking about Usain Bolt fast, I am talking about, 3 times faster than the speed if sound kind of fast. As my legs began to move at super speed, a red streak began to form behind me along with electricity crackling whereever I ran, and when I run, it feels amazing. But enough of my powers, lets get back to this story.

I slowed down about 100m away to get my suit on and find a good area to get a glimpse of the situation at hand. I walked over to a bush and crouched behind it. I stuck my head round the side of my cover to see a boy no older than 17, fighting what seemed to be a Cyclops. My jaw dropped, but I had to get it there and help, but how do I take down something that big? Then a thought occured to me. If I ran far enough away, ran back towards the monster, I might gain enough speed to knock the monster out. So, I started running away, then turned, looked at the giant Cyclops in the distance and sprinted right at it as fast as I could. I leaped and struck the Cyclops directly in the chest and it vapourised on the spot. And I just stood there, covered in Cyclops remains, with not one, but two teenagers staring at me. The boy bent down and picked up a red mask off the floor, my mask. I didn't know what to to as he walked up to me and in a suprisingly calm tone, introduced himself. "Hey, my name is Percy Jackson, could you come with me? I need to ask you a few questions." I gulped as I looked into his sea green eyes as he gave me my mask. I put it on and said "Well you have seen my face now, so... Sure, I guess I could tag along."
"Cool. Thanks a lot." He replied with out mich enthusiasm. "What is your name?"
I hesitated, to a deep breath and answered his question.
"My name is Barry Allen, but most people know me as... The Flash."
