The new girl
Hunter's POV
Okay, I know this is already a story, but that's on my other account and they blocked me out of it. :( I promise, I'm not stealing.
It was in the morning. Every one was eating breakfast. I don't eat breakfast with them. I get to many weird looks. I would always sit on the Hades table alone. Just in silence. I usually take my breakfast to go. But when I don't, I just sit and deal with the stares and murmurs. I guess you could say I'm an outcast.
As I was was walking past the cabins, I hear a shrill scream coming from near Thalia's tree is. I race towards the scream. As I look down at the hill, I see a girl being chased by a Minotaur.
It was gaining on her, and fast.
I draw my sword and run down the hill to help. The Minotaur is right behind her now. He rammed into her just as I reached him. She went flying landing a good few meters away.
I slash the Minotaur with my sword and dust explodes everywhere.
I run over to the spot where the girl is lying still.
I turn her over and she is white as a ghost. Blood is oozing out of the deep gash in her forehead. I shake her and she comes to. She groans and looks up at me. She jumps back in fright.
She grabs a stick lying next to her. "Don't hurt me please," she cries in fear. I put my sword down and put my hands up.
"It's okay, I'm not here to hurt you. I'm trying to help you. Just please put the stick down."
She does as I say. I slowly make my way towards her.I take a seat next to her.
"Now, I need you to co-operate. You're losing blood fast and we need to get you to the infirmary." She suddenly became aware of the gash in her forehead.
"First of all, what's your name?" I asked. "M-my names Danielle. What's your name?"
"Hunter Argil. Now come on. You need to get to camp."
Danielle was half walking half being dragged by me. She stopped for a second.
"You okay Danielle?" I asked.
She was panting like she had just run a marathon.
She shook her head before falling to the ground. I panicked. "Danielle, Danielle, DANIELLE!" She wasn't responding. "Shit," I yell. I started shaking her. "Come on, wake up!" Blood was still pouring out of her head. It had turned her once black clothes red.
"HELP!" I yelled. I was to far away from everyone for anyone to hear.I picked up Danielle and carry her to the infirmary. She wasn't exactly 'light'.
I bring her into the infirmary.
No ones there.
I curse to myself.
I try to take care of her myself but I was no use at all. I had to go get Chiron. I try wrapping a bandage around her head to slow down the bleeding.
I run into the hall.
"Chiron!" I yell. This causes a commotion. The room is filled with silence. "What is the meaning of this Hunter Argil?!" He says.
"I'll explain on the way," the hall broke into whispers. Chiron got into his Centaur form and galloped after me. I explained Danielle along the way.
When we got to infirmary, he worked on Danielle for a good 10 minutes. He stepped away. "She should be good. Do you mind watching her."
"Sure, I'll bring her to you when she's awake."
Chiron nodded and trotted away.
After about an hour, Danielle came to. She looked at me. "Hunter?" I smiled. "You're finally awake." She yawned. "How long was I out for?" I looked at the clock. "A little over an hour. On another note, we probably should get you to Chiron."
I take her to the big house where Chiron and Dionysus are.
We take a seat as Chiron explains everything to Danielle. She was shocked.
"Hunter, can you take Danielle for a tour of camp?" I stand up. "Sure."
I show Danielle everything. When we get to the sword fighting arena, Danielle tries a sword out. She holds it.
"Um, are you sure you know what you're doing?" I ask. "Positive."
She sprints into action slicing and stabbing dummies. Her moves are amazing. I stare in awe.
"I guess you could say I've had a little practice."
"Let's battle." I say as I draw my sword.
We go into a full fight. She dodges my attacks as if she knows all my moves. She slashes my sword and it falls out of my hand and clatters to the floor.
"I told you I know a thing or two." I pick up my sword and look at the door. The next group for sword fighting is standing there. Conner Stoll steps forward. "Who's she?" he asks. "She's a new recruit. Found her today," I say. "Who's her parent?" Travis Stoll asked. "I don't know." She says.
At that same moment, Athena's symbol appeared on top of her head. She looked up.
"What's it mean!" She exclaims. Another Athena child stepped forward. She placed her hand on shoulder.
"That means you're an Athena child. Hello new step sister."
