Solangelo One-Shots

Nico couldn't believe it, after weeks of Will flirting with him, and he himself not knowing how to respond, he had finally gotten up the courage to tell Will how he felt.
He exited the Hades cabin and started toward the infirmary where he knew Will would be cutting bandages. He had expected Will to be alone....
He opened the door to Will's office.
"Hey Will can we ta...." he stopped short.
Will was not alone, he was with a girl and they were kissing.
Nico felt the hot tears springing to his eyes and turned around and ran away from the room and the scene that had just shattered his heart.
He wasn't even sure where he was going until he found himself frantically pounding on the door of Cabin One.
Jason opened the door.
"Nico.." he said then upon seeing the boys tear streaked face. "Nico, what's wrobg?" He was concerned for the younger boy. He hadn't seen him this upset since the incident with Eros.
"I..I.." Nico started trying to get the words out between sobs. He took a deep breath "I finally got up the courage to tell Will how I feel and..." his whole body started shaking as new sobs took over.
"He rejected you?" Jason asked his tone sounding slightly angry.
"W-Worse" Nico said taking another breath "I went to his office to talk to him and there was a girl there with him and..." he took another breath "he was kissing her Jason!" Nico couldn't hold back the tears anymore, they just tore from his body in great wracking sobs.
Jason tentatively wrapped his arms around the younger boy pulling him close into a comforting hug. He didn't know what to say so he just patted his back.
"Why did I even stay here Jason?" Nico asked as the subs stated to let up. "Why did I even beleive anyone could care about me? I'm just a stupid gay son of Hades. I'm tooskinny. I'm to pale. How could anyone ever love me?
Jason was still at a loss for words, he wished Piper was here she would know what to say.
There was a knock at the door, Jason lead Nico to a bunk and sat him down.
The last person Jason expected to find on his doorstep was Will Solace.
"Jason, Nico ran off I can't find him anywhere, do you know where he is? Please Jason, I have to find him!" Will rambled on.
Jason opened the door wider to reveal Nico sitting on a bunk arms wrapped around his legs which were pulled up against his chest, his tear stained face resting with his chin on his knee, he didn't even look up.
"Nico!" Will cried out breathing a sigh of relief and started toward him.
Before he could cross the threshold Jason put his arm out blocking him.
"Will can I have a word with you?" Jason asked.
Will just nodded feeling slightly intimidated by the son of Zeus, no Jupiter.
"I'll be right back Nico." Jason called as he stepped out on the porch with Will.
"Nico is pretty upset Will." Jason started. "He has been through a lot in his life, more than you really know or understand. He has suffered so much more than most demigods."
Will nodded though still not sure where Jason was going with this.
"You know, children of Hades rarely get to live happy lives. For a while there Nico looked like he might actually get to lead a happy life." Jason continued.
Will was still having trouble following this.
Jason must have been able to read the confusion in Will's eyes.
He sighed. " For weeks you have been flirting with him. WEEKS Will!" Jason continued.
"He never reacted to any of it though" Will said bitterly
"He was scared Will. He was born in a time where people like him were executed for being what he is. He doesn't see himself clearly. He believes no one can love or accept him because he is a gay son of Hades"
"I do" Will muttered under his breath. If Jason heard him he didn't let on.
"He had finally gotten up the courage to tell you how he felt and he went to the infirmary today to find you..." Jason trailed off.
"He seen Reilyn kiss me" Will said as a realization hit him.
"He seen you kissing some girl" Jason confirmed.
"Jason!" Will said slightly exasperated "Jason, I didn't kiss her! She kissed me. I pushed her off right away. I told her I was gay."
"Will, Nico didn't see that, he just saw the boy he is in love with, whom he thought returned those feelings, kissing a girl. He has been in here all day heartbroken because he thinks it was all a game, just a big joke. He thinks you don't really care, that you never did." Jason said gently.
"Please, can I talk to him. I need to tell him..." Will trailed off "tell him my side, tell him that I love him" Will breathed out. It was the first time he had said it out loud. Today was the first time he had told anyone he was gay.
Unbeknownst to them Nico was standing by the door which hadn't been shut all the way. At Wills last words he had pushed the door all the way open and looked straight at Will.
"You what?" Nico said incredulously
Will took a deep breath and turned to face Nico.
"I love you Nico" he said and then gently took Nico's face in his warm hands pulling him closer. He slowly and gently pressed his lips to Nico's in a soft kiss. "I love you Nico more than you will ever know."
Nico put his hands on Will's and looking up into Will's eyes "I love you too Will" and he kissed him again.
