Powerful Secret
The Great Fight
“You don't have to tell me twice!” I said as I darted out of the garden. I almost made it back to the front of the school when I thought “What about Kate?” I pondered this for about thirty seconds until I heard Kate give off a terrified scream. “Kate, I'm coming.” I yelled as I darted back to the garden of doom. The big man was there holding Kate by the wrists. Then he saw me.
“Oh I guess I get two demigods for lunch now.” He snickered. “What the hell is a demigod?” I asked Kate.
“I'll tell you if we live to see another ten minutes.” She responded.
“I don't like the odds.” I said.
“Don't worry I already made a call.”
“Made a call to who?” I asked.
“Too much talk, not enough lunch.” The monster roared. He threw Kate against a wall and her body fell limp.
“How dare you do that to my best friend!” I screamed with so much rage and anger. Suddenly all the plants, within a 10 foot radius of me, died. I screamed again.
“What just happened?” I asked.
“Ohh. Looks like I get to eat a child of Hades for lunch.” He said with so much joy.
“What? Like the god?” I asked.
“No like the sandwich.” He said.
“Seriously?” I asked.
“No, of course like the god.” He said. “Say hello to your daddy for me.” He said. I started running away and he started chasing me. Thankfully at this moment a black shadow fell across the Earth. It landed between me and the monster. I turned my head to see what it was and I saw a boy and a girl get off of it. The boy had black hair with sea green eyes and the girl had hair like my own, only a bit lighter, and eyes that held a storm. They both dismounted what looked like a black pegasus. And they held blades in their hand.
“This will be fun!” The monster said. And he charges at the boy who slid between his legs. The monster got a bit confused which caused him to lose focus and the girl stabbed him in his hip.
“Oh a feisty one. I'll be sad once you're dead. But don't worry I won't miss you for that long.” The monster yelled again. “How did that not injure him?” The girl asked.
“Annabeth, you're the daughter of Athena. You should know.” The boy said. If you were wondering what I was doing during this, I was hiding beside Kate. I was telling her she would be fine. She hit her head and fell unconscious but she was still breathing.
“Can you guys please kill this thing faster?” I asked.
“Sorry, are we trying to save your life too slowly?” The boy asked.
“Percy, be nice. The poor girl is scared out of her wits.” Annabeth said. (I think her name is Annabeth
“Sorry.” Percy said as the monster charged him. This time he jumped over the guy by jumping off a nearby fountain. How he got that much momentum to jump over an eight foot monster I have no idea. It appeared like the water pushed him up. He landed on the other side and stabbed him in the back. The sword didn't even leave a mark.
“How are you going to kill him?!” I yelled.
“Beheading is the only way I can think of.” Annabeth yelled. “Works with me wise girl.” Percy said.
“What?!” I screamed.
“We are going to cut off its head.” Percy responded.
“I know that, but how?” I asked “he's approximately eight feet tall. You're going to have to knock him down so you can reach his head. How are you going to do that?”
“Wow, you're smart. Umm maybe I can knock him down with water.” Percy said.
“That doesn't obey any law of physics.” I said.
“Well I'm the son of Poseidon. Physics don't apply to me.” Percy said.
“O-okay.” I said quite confused. Suddenly the water from the fountain joined together to form ball.
“Omg.” I muttered. I was in total aww. The ball then hit the monster in the head and he lost consciousness. He fell and the whole garden shook. Then Annabeth ripped the sword out of Percy's hand and said
“Stand back.” She demanded. I didn't hesitate. With one swing she cut off his head and he dissolved into dust.
“Okay. What just happened.” I asked trying to finally get some answers to everything that just happened.
“Long story short, you're a demigod and we need to get you to Camp Halfblood.” Annabeth said.
“Where is that and what is a demigod?” I asked.
“Camp Halfblood is on Long Island Sound, and a Demigod is half human half god.” Percy said.
“We are in Philadelphia so we should get to New York in 4 hours with traffic.” I said.
“Why are you guys smirking?” I asked.
“Who said we were driving?” Annabeth asked.
“There is only one Pegasus.” I said “There is a sentence I never thought I would say.”
“I can call another Pegasus and he should be here in a few seconds.” Percy said.
“I'm not even going to question it.” I said “But what about Kate?”
“I can ride with her.” Annabeth said.
“Are you sure wise girl.” Percy asked.
“Yeah I'm sure seaweed brain.” Annabeth responded. They were the cutest couple I have ever seen. Just like Percy said the other Pegasus arrived shortly. Annabeth quickly mounted him and we helped her with Kate and they were quickly over the horizon.
“This is Blackjack.” Percy said.
“Hi Blackjack.” I said. Then I pet his head.
“I don't like her boss she smells a little like death.” Blackjack said.
“Well you don't smell too great yourself.” I told the Pegasus. “You can understand him?” Percy asked with shock.
“Yes, can you not?” I asked.
“I can but only because my dad is Poseidon, but you also smell like death. This is too much for my brain to handle. We will ask Chiron when we get to camp okay?” Percy asked. “Okay, but who is Chiron?” I asked.
“You'll see.” He said while smirking.
Notes
I am trying to end these all on cliffhangers and so far so good. The next one might not go up until Saturday but you never know.
