Powerful Secret
The Truth
What was above me I could tell was not normal. There were three pictures and they were all different, but they were all outlined with a circle. They were all on top of the other one too. The one closest to my head was the smallest and it was a yellow lighting bolt. The one on top of it was a bit bigger, and black, with a skull and crossbones. The one on the very top was sea green with a trident. I passed out the second I saw everything. It was too much to handle. I was asking myself if I was even a demigod.
“Where am I?” I asked as Percy woke up and walked over to me.
“You're in the infirmary.” He said.
“Okay.” I said. “Can you please explain who is my father though?” I asked. It was something I have been asking myself since I was born.
“Chiron explained to the whole camp.” Percy said.
“Great, the only person who doesn't know what is going on with me, is me.” I said. “Oh god my mom. I need to call her.”
“Chiron already did. She used to go here.” Percy said. “So did her mom.”
“Ok.” I said very confused. “Am I more than half god? (I am good at math) How is that even possible?” I asked.
“Oh gods. Here it goes. Centuries ago in Greece your great great great, something, grandmother was the most stunning girl in Greece. The big three gods wanted her to be theirs. She was already married and had a daughter. She made a deal with them.” Percy said.
“Great.” I sighed.
“Anyway, she made a deal that that they could have her great great great something grandchildren. They couldn't have the same child though. She wanted her relative to have one true love. The gods agreed and kept close tabs on your family. There is a reason there is only girls in your family. Zeus got your great grandmother, because he is the king of the universe. Poseidon is kind and gave Hades your grandmother. Poseidon got your mom. Your grandmother is a demigod child of Zeus, and your mom is a child of Hades. You Ashlynn are a child of Poseidon, but you have powers from all the big three gods.”
“Perfect.” I said sarcastically.
“I'm not done.” Percy said.
“Of course not.” I said.
“I fulfilled a prophecy about a demigod child of the big three a few years ago, so I asked why your grandmother didn't fulfill that prophecy.”
“A solid question to ask.” I said.
“I know right, but as it turns out she didn't fulfill that prophecy because she had to give birth so you could be born and fulfill a prophecy.” Percy said.
“Oh great.” I said. “What's the prophecy?” I asked.
“We don't know, we only know that there is a prophecy.” Percy responded.
“Am I more than half god?” I asked.
“Technically yes. You are more than half god. And that is why the prophecy about me didn't apply to your mom. She wasn't a half-blood. She was more than a half blood.”
“Okay. This is too much for me to think about. I'm going to sleep.” I said while I started to lay back down on my infirmary bed.
“Okay.” Percy said as he walked up to me. “Goodnight little sis.” He said and he kissed me on the forehead.
“Your right. That technically makes me your sister. And by the way I'm sixteen.” I said.
“I'm seventeen.” He responded.
“Technicalities.” I mumbled. I fell asleep and I didn't have any dreams. It was weird. The next morning I walked to the camp store. I got lost on my way a couple of times. I found a camp shirt and some short shorts. I also found converse and Nike elites. I don't know why but I bought a pair of white converse, and white and black Nike elites. It was my style. I grabbed my bag and walked over to the cabins. Kids were starting to wake up and walk over to the ‘Dining Pavilion’. That's its official name, I called it a cafeteria earlier. (Sorry if that bothered you). They all stayed clear of me, and stared. I'm new and already no one liked me. I stood in the middle of all the cabins and stared at them all. They were all distinctly different. I walked to the one that looked like it would be Poseidon’s and knocked.
“I'm coming.” A sleepy Percy said. He opened the door and I realised he only had boxers on. I immediately looked away. Before I could I did realize that he had a six pack. “Oh,” he said “I'm your brother, so it's all cool.” He said.
“Whatever you say.” I said while covering my eyes with my free hand. He pulled on a camp shirt and quickly put on a pair of shorts. “You can look now.” He said. I did and I asked him if he had a bathroom. “There is one in the back of the cabin.” He pointed.
“Thanks.” I said. I stood up with my bag and walked into the bathroom. I quickly changed my clothes because I was starving. I did take extra time to put my hair in a pony tail, though. Percy waited for me before walking to the Dining Pavilion. Everyone else walking stared and whispered.
“Percy, why are they staring at me?” I asked.
“Everyone stares at a child of the big three, and a child of all the big three gods,” he paused “gets even more attention.” Percy said.
“I actually like attention, but not like this.” I said. Which was perfectly true.
“What do you mean?” Percy asked.
“Back at my school I was popular, and I loved the attention. Now everyone seems scared of me, like I might kill them.” I responded.
“I mean you could.” Percy said.
“That's not the answer I was looking for.” I responded angrily.
“I know.” He said. We continued to talk as we made our way to the Dining Pavilion. Once we got there we grabbed our plates and filled it up with food. Then he led me to the fire in the middle of the pavilion and said “For Poseidon.” The food evolved into smoke.
“Do I do that too?” I asked.
“Yeah.” He replied. I scraped some of the food off of the plate and into the fire. “To Poseidon.” I said. since he is my father. It also turned into smoke. Percy lead me to a table where Nico and the blonde hair kid sat. I took my seat.
“Hi, I'm Ashlynn Miller.” I said as I held out my hand to the boy with the blonde hair. There was something about him that was different then the night before. Then I realised he was now wearing glasses.
“Hi, I'm Jason Grace. Son of Zeus.” He said.
“Do you have a girlfriend?” I asked while taking a bite of my eggs. He looked surprised that I asked him that. “What?” I asked with my mouth full of eggs.
“Yeah I do, actually.” He said.
“Who is she?” I asked. I was popular, and I was all about gossip. He was going to tell me whether he likes it or not.
“She's Piper. Piper McLean.” Jason said.
“Oh, I told Nico this yesterday but, I've been dying to see Piper again.” I said.
“You know her?” Percy asked.
“Yeah her dad and my mom did a movie together.” I said.
“Wait who's your mom?” Jason asked.
“Nevermind, it doesn’t matter.” I said.
“It kinda does.” Jason said.
“Fine if it means that much to you, she is Dana Miller, but please don't tell anyone.” I said. “I don't want them to think I'm a spoiled brat.”
“No one would ever think that.” Nico said.
“I would think that.” Jason said. Percy elbowed him in the gut. “Oww.” Jason said.
“Sorry not sorry.” Percy responded.
“Anyway where's Piper?” I asked “I want to see her.” Jason pointed to a table full of girls and boys talking about clothes, hair, and boys. I spotted Piper. I was about to tap her on the shoulder. When a girl with curly red hair started floating and creating green smoke.
