Powerful Secret

The Prophecy

I ran back to Percy.
“What's going on.” I asked.
“The oracle is about to deliver a prophecy.” He said. Suddenly the oracle began to speak.

The daughter of three

And the son of the sea.

“Shit.” I heard Percy mumble.

Must choose the child

Who has been exiled

With the help of the son of the sky

He will either fly or die

I looked at Jason who looked like he was going to be sick.
To defeat the cyclops

Down in the workshops

Before the world comes to an end

The four must make a friend

Three people rushed behind the girl. I didn't realize why until after she was done with the prophecy. She fainted, and the people caught her. She awoke very quickly, before she could everyone stared at me, Percy, and Jason. I tried to hide behind Percy but he wouldn't let me.
“What do we do now?” Some kid yelled.
“I don't know, Leo!” Percy yelled back. I started freaking out because everyone started talking.
“SILENCE!” Chiron yelled. Everybody obeyed.
“Percy, Jason, and Ashlynn. I need to speak with you.” Percy and Jason walked up to Chiron while I grabbed my plate of food. I hadn't eaten in awhile. We all walked with him to the big house. It was a silent walk, except for me because I was chewing my food. We got to the house and he sat us down in the living room. I was the first one to speak.
“So… what do we do now?” I asked, quoting Leo.
“First thing we have to is figure out who the child who has been exiled is.” Chiron said. I jumped up.
“Oh. I am really good at riddles!” I exclaimed, happily.
“Really?” Percy asked questioned.
“Yes, really.” I responded.
“You don't strike me as the smart type.” Jason said.
“For your information I am currently taking AP Calculus, AP Government, and AP Biochemistry.” I said smugly. Jason and Percy both stared at me with shock. Chiron seemed so chill.
“Oh shit, I didn't realise I had a smart sister.” Percy said. I smiled.
“I need to know everyone who is a possible candidates, backstory.” I said. Percy and Jason spent the next eight hours giving backstories on everyone at camp they knew. I listened and took mental notes, on everything. When they were done talking I pondered the facts for about twenty minutes. Chiron, Percy, and Jason did the same. They all looked clueless, except for Chiron who fell asleep.
“I got it!” I screamed. Percy and Jason looked taken aback and Chiron woke up.
“Who is it?” Jason asked. Percy shook his head in agreement.
“It's Nico.” I said confidently.
“How can you be sure?” Percy asked.
“Yeah.” Jason said. “A lot of kids here have been exiled from their home and from their family.”
“He doesn't feel like he belongs anywhere so he has exiled himself. Which is more powerful than being actually exiled. I am assuming. It just makes more sense.” I said so happily.
“I guess that does make sense.” Jason said.
“Nothing really makes sense anymore.” I mummered. They all heard me.
“It will soon I promise.” Percy said. He stood up and, I realised he was a little bit taller then me, he placed his arm on my shoulder reassuringly. I shook his it off because tall people taller then me scare me. I'm 5 foot 10 (1.778 meters) so I usually don't meet people taller than me.
“Percy you make me uncomfortable.” I said as I walked out of the room. Jason laughed.
"What did I do?” He yelled as I made my way to the cabins. I walked around and everyone still glared at me. I tried to find the Hades cabin. I walked up to the Ares cabin instead. A girl came to the door. She punched me in the nose. I started bleeding and I could tell my nose was broken. At this point Percy was behind me. He clearly talked to Chiron and Jason, he ran all the way here, and I walked.
“Clarisse, that was stupid.” He said. He yanked a pen out of his pocket, and took off the cap. It turned into a sword. I stared at him angrily. I didn't need him to protect me. He lunged at Clarisse, he hit her with the hilt of his sword, in the head and she fell unconscious. I stomped away angrily. I didn’t know where I was going and I didn't care. Percy caught up to me easily.
“Ashlynn what's wrong?” He asked. He put his hand on my shoulder again.
“What's wrong is I don't need you to protect me.” I said as I shook his hand off my shoulder, again.
“Obviously you do, you just broke your nose.” He said.
“I've been through worse.” I replied.
“What?” He asked shocked. I sighed. And began my story.
“When I was seven I broke my arm, eight I broke my finger, ten I tore my meniscus, 12 I broke my femur, I have a ten pound titanium rod there now. When I was 13 I broke my foot, age 14 I dislocated my shoulder, and last year I had a concussion for a while.” I finished. I started crying. “Percy you can't break what is already broken.”
“You're not broken you have just… been through a lot.” He said.
“Nice save.” I replied while I started to laugh. He joined in.
“Did you say you have a ten pound titanium rod in your leg?” He asked.
“Yeah I broke my femur and they couldn't repair the bone so they replaced it.” I said.
“That's so cool.” He said.
“I have a permanent limp when I walk and run and I had to go to physical therapy for a year so my leg could move, how is that cool?” I asked.
“It sounded cool, now not so much. And about that limp it is barely noticeable.” Percy said.
“Only when I walk it is barely noticeable, wait until you see me run, you will see it.” I said back. “I have learned to also play through any pain so this broken nose that is bleeding isn't really bothering me.” I said trying to hint that I just needed it to get bandaged.
“I have been trying not to look at it.” He said. “Follow me.” He took my hand and pulled me through the camp until we reached a small stream. “Take off your shoes and socks.” He said. I don't know why but I obeyed. He also took off his footwear. He waded into the stream and he looked more more alert suddenly. I did the same and I felt this power flow through me. I felt stronger and my nose started to heal.
“Woah.” I said.
“Cool, right?” He asked.
“Yeah, cool.” I responded. “When do I get to learn how to control the water like, you?” I asked.
“That took me two years to master.” He said.
“Lucky for you, I'm a fast learner.” I smirked.
