Also the explanation for her power is that she's 'too beautiful'. Why would that kill her parents and biology teacher, who(hopefully) weren't attracted to her?
So wait...She couldn't be effected by charmspeak and that means her mom is Aphrodite? Piper came up with this so why didn't she realize earlier? And this coincides with canon. In tLH, Piper charmspoke the Aphrodite cabin. I want some more backstory about the guy before her with the same power.

Yes it clearly states that she is the first to know that Aphrodite is her mother when she comes to her at the Hermes cabin. Piper didn't realise it because they were too busy trying to figure out she managed to have two 'biological' parents (or s she thought) Until Aphrodite explains the truth. Charlie can't fully resist it but at first showed a little bit before complying but that's only because of her heritage.
A back story for the last guy who had it is coming soon. (I don't want to reveal too much)
And it's not that she's 'too beautiful' it's her eyes, her 'looks' that actually kill people. But it only works when she gets strong emotions or genuinely wants to kill them, such as her bio teacher compared to Medusa. (Wanting her 'gone' and extremely scared of Medusa).
