Trails of a Demigod

The quest begins: The beach will have to wait

After finally making it to the camp exchange bank, I pulled out a celestial bronze brick and handed it to the clerk. In exchange he gave me two pounds of dracma. Turning around, I headed back. I didn't know if this would come in handy throughout our quest, but it was always best to have something and not need it, rather than need something and not have it.

Walking around, I made a mental note of everything, I needed. By the time, I got back to Percy's cabin, he still wasn't there. Where ever he was, he seemed to not be paying much attention to the time. I gazed at the time, to notice it was time for lunch. Placing my bag next to his, I walked out toward the Dinning pavolion.

When I arrived, I decided to take a seat at the Poseidon cabin's table. I needed to have some alone time, and considering Percy wasn't here yet, I decided to take the chance. I sat down, taking in some strewberries, a panini and a cup of coffee. Even if I wasn't much of a coffee persin, I kinda needed something to take my mind off of things. After a few minutes, he finally showed up. He was now dressed in a blue tee, a pair of western denims and some sneakers. In all he wasn't half bad. He looked kimda cute. Although it wasn't anything different than before. His hair was recently dosed in watee, and by the looks of it he allowed it to be wet.

"Where were you?" I asked. "I was looking for you. I finished early, so I thought, we could go for a swim, but when I arrives at your cabin, It was to late." I sighed.

Percy smiled. "Well, since I noticed we weren't going to go swimming, I decided to take a long shower. I pretty much pissed off the newbies at the showers. Appearantly, no one told them about my long showers. Well, at least, they get a break away from me for at least four days."

"That won't be enough." I smiled. "So what's your plan on finding out where Hermes is? Do you know where he could be?" I asked. I was clueless where to start, the only god I knew that was always at a specific location was Janus, he was Roman, but still. That was our best bet, it was either that or we'd head north to Quebec and find out where exactly we'd find Aeolus. But based off a helpful source, I decided not to. He seemed to be a bit out of wack since the second Titan war.

"The best bet would be an international postal service. If that fails we could skype him?" Percy cracked a faint smile, to which I laughed at. This could was beyond funny, he was corny. I gaze at his sea green eyes, as I decided to go alongside with his plan.

After lunch, we got our stuff and walked out of camp, the normal way. It took us only forty minutes to get from Long Island Sound to Manhattan New York. The Empire state building still look exactly how it did about three years ago. Appearantly, the gods decided that Olympus was fine as it was, so they decided to go back to their primitive ways. Walking in the front Percy smiled at a large broad man. Mortally, he fashioned a blue suit and tie, professionally from the hotel services unit. With a flicker of his finger he changed his clothes to a more greek fashioned attire. He held a half cut toga and gave off a more relaxed demenour. Percy smiled. "Janus, my old buddy, how you've been? I haven't seen you since the labyrinth." Amazed the god rubbed his chin trying to recall who we were.

"Who are you again?" The god womdered. He glanced at me and smiled. "Well, I see you've blossomed. A daughter of Athena. I would love to even have you by my side. How would yoiu love for me, to be your immortal husband." Janus smiled.

Upset, Percy clenched his fist. I smiled, content to see he could get just as jealous as I could. Calmly I places my hand on his shoulder tentively. "Thanks I guess, but I'm happy with my current boyfriend. He's pretty awesome." I smiled pulling him closely in for a hug.

Disappointed Janus sighed. "I see, worth a shot. What can I do for you two, heroes of Olympus?" I explained everything. Confidently, Janus took in all the information. He smiled after I finished as to say a coincidence was poping up. "Well, I ordered a psckage from Hermes a few hours ago, he scheduled it for three minutes from now, so he'll be here in a minute. He's probably outside, parking the truck. He hates leaving George and Martha after what happened a couple years back. So he sometimes come in with them. You know, the who cellphone thing."

Percy gazed at a familiar postal worker. He smiled as he noticed the salt and pepper hair. Calmly the man came in, and turned to see them. "Oh well, if it isn't Percy Jackson, how have you been over the years.I see you have been busy over the years." Hermes gazed at me abit judgementally. This was the second time, that it happened. But Hermes was the god of information. If any of the gods were to know about me and Percy it would be Hermes and Aphrodite."

"So what is it I can help you two with?" Hermes asked.
I smiled as I began to walk outside. "Why not talk outside. I'm sure you have plenty of other packages to deliver. It was nice seeing you again Janus." I smiled as I walked outside to the postal workers truck.
