Nick's house, was hufe. It was actually a house too. Not just an appartment building like I had expected. Breaking in was the easy part. Apparently, Hermes had blessed him with the gift of breaking and entering. After we made it all the way up to his room, he closed the door behind himself, and pulled out a chest. Opening it up, he held a sword and shield. The shield itself was hideous and looked even scarier than the gray sisters.

"What's so special about that sword?" I asked. "I mean, a sword is just a sword." I replied. Nick didn't seem to care about my response. He simply, sighed and then retracted it into a ballpoint pen. "The sword was supposed to be a gift to me, by my dad. I kept it, in case he ever came looking for me. I was going to ask him that exact question. But now, It seems to have another purpose."

"Does the blade have a name?" I asked. He smilee., then he swiftly ran to the door, pushed his back to it and listened carefully, like a spy. "Someone's here." He said.

"Who? Your mom!" I insisted.
Nick smirked. "Yes, captain obvious, but its also something stronger. Someone else. Like the monsters. They are immortal. But appearantly don't mean harm. Yet."

I rolled my eyes. Nick had a habbit of acting weird whenever our lives depended on it. That was one of the weird things I liked about him. It's either that, or his annoying way of keeping me facinated. Glaring at him, I smiled.

"What?" He whispered. I calmly, walked over to him, and laid pressed up against the wall with him. His heart was steady. I liked his heart beat. It didn't show fear, or anxiety. It was as steady as a rock. Closing my eyes, I laid my head on his shoulder. Slowly, my fingers nestled through his, intwining themselves into his. Glancing at him, I opened my eyes and smiled. "What do I think of you?" I smiled.

He took a shaky breath, as he smiled. "Yea?" He asked. I glanced at his hair, as my other hand raced through it, turning the direction his hair backward, which looked way cuter. "You're smart, brave, talented, atheltic and down right the most annoying perwon I could ever hope to meet." I smiled.

At that moment, Nick glanced away a bit hurt. His confidence had hit a crack. Which was perfect. "But, you are also, the sweetest, most caring person I've ever met. You'd think two teenagers would have something else in common, aside from their fighting skills and heritage." I smiled.

Nick took a deep breath, alowly, he moved closer. I knew what he was thinking. But what if this wasn't the best time for it. I mean, yea, I do like him. Yes he is my type and of course, I would be with him in a heartbeat. But what if this was a gamble with chance. I didn't want to give him a chance and lose him.

With a shimmer, the door disolved, as we both fell backwards. Focusing up, I saw a man with salt and pepper hair, alongside a woman with jet black hair braid off the shoulder. She held the same expression that Nick did whenever he got serious. From her expression, I was assuming she was his mother.

"Nicolas, long time no see." She murmured. "Isn't that right Hermes?"
"Way to long, he was what Ten when he decided to leave?" The man said.

"Who are you two?" I asked. Nick smiled, as he grabbed my hand. The empathy was still there. He wasn't going to let go of it, even if his mother was present. "These two people, are my parents. Katie and Hermes." He murmured.

"I'm sorry, darling. I'm Hermes, the god of travelers, merchants, theives, speed and messangers." The man smiled. Nick scuffed. "More like, the god of communication and theives. He also claims to what?"

"Oh, I invented the internet!" Hermes smiled. I tried to hold down a laughter, while I gripped Nick's hand tighter. He didn't mind considering he was already irratated for meeting up with his mother.

After our long conversation, the eating of cookies and our information hunt on a safezone, we left. Taking a train to Manhattan was the easy part, but everything after that took sometime. Appearantly, not living in New York for sometime, kinda makes you dull to the area.

Sitting on the steps of the court house, I nuzzled his arm. I didn't bring myself to kiss him. But I knew one thing. Nick had wanted to. "Scar, Where are we?"

"What do you mean? You brought us here, you should know where-"
"I mean, us. Our relationship. I like you. And you definitely like me. But we haven't ever talked about us like this. Not until you woke up that night." He murmured.

Taking a deep, breath, I pulled him closer. With a soft kiss. Our lips danced on the outskurts of a forest. It was like we had a spark of flames heat us up. Pulling away, I smiled. He didn't say anything but he was definitely starstruck.

"Wow, you're really good at that." I laughed.
Rolling her eyes, she rose to her feet. "Come on, we have a camp to find." She said, as she held out her arm ready to move on from the court house.
